Abstract
A system and method for attaching a stock to and removing a stock from a receiver is readily adaptable for existing weapons such as a rifle. The system includes a mounting device with an extension and latch member. The extension can be mounted on the receiver and the latch member provided on the stock. The extension is inserted into the stock and locked with the latch member by rotation of the stock relative to the receiver. This will mount the stock to the receiver. A plunger insertable into the receiver or stock can be provided to prevent rotation of the stock relative to the receiver after the stock and receiver are mounted together. In the method, the extension is inserted into the latch member, the plunger is retracted and the stock is rotated 90.degree. relative to the plunger. This rotation locks the extension and latch members whereby the stock is mounted to the plunger. Then, upon release of the plunger, further rotation of the stock and receiver is prevented until the plunger is again withdrawn.

7191775 - Gun replica

A gun replica includes a grip portion, a gun butt portion detachably connected to the grip portion and a cylinder portion received in a barrel portion which is detachably connected to the grip portion and having a piston movably received inside the cylinder portion so as to press a recoil mechanism and to compress air inside the cylinder of the cylinder portion to fire a bullet from the cartridge.

6637141 - Gun stock

An improved gun stock construction that substantially reduces both the recoil and the tendency of the gun to move upward or jerk when it is fired. The stock is formed with two sections having a flexible hinge mechanism. This structure creates a moment arm or couple which opposes the tendency of the gun to move upward when it is fired. This invention relates to improvements in a gun construction and more particularly to the improvement in gunstock that permits better control of the gun by the operator.

7152355 - Modular gunstock

The present invention is a modular stock system for rifles. The system replaces the rifle's buffer tube with a modified one containing a mount for a constant cheek weld and a rail track for adjustment. A stock module then mounts on the replacement buffer tube. The stock module is interchangeable depending on the user's needs. Various configurations of the stock module are discussed, including adjustable stocks, fixed stocks, and specialized stocks. The stock module may be made even further modular by the addition of rail system.

6779289 - Fixed style of rifle buttstock for carbines and rifles

An M16 or commercial equivalent style rifle buttstock is provided with a stowage compartment within the buttstock body for an M4/M16 style firearm or commercial equivalent that utilizes an adjustable receiver extension which is cylindrical with a radially disposed elongated rib. The buttstock can be inserted without any permanent modifications to the host firearm, and is completely reversible. Internal storage for accessories is provided, and the buttstock is able to accept standard M16 style or commercial buttplates, with or without hinged access doors to the stowage compartment. The buttstock provides an improvement to the ajustable buttstock used on M4/M16 style firearms in cold weather which can become frozen in place in the collapsed position and not provide a proper mounting of the carbine relative to the user. Additionally the buttstock provides all of the standard ergonometric relationships of an M16 style firearm or commercial variant for the user.

5513461 - Light-weight automatic rifle - Owned by Heckler & Koch (Oberndorf,DE)

The present invention relates to a light-weight automatic rifle with a housing with removable attachments, specifically a longitudinally coaxial barrel, a grip with a trigger mechanism, a shoulder rest, a clip, and sights. The slide slides back and forth in the housing in back of the barrel and along a cheek, resting in its frontmost position against the rear end of the barrel and with locking components that securely engage accommodations in the housing. The housing is a hollow plastic housing and it accommodates a metal sleeve, which is coaxial with the barrel. The rear of the barrel is inserted in the front of the sleeve, and the accommodations are on the rear of the sleeve.
