A regulator for pneumatic system comprising a connecting bracket for connecting other air conditioning units to a regulator body. Because of this connecting bracket, the air conditioning units to be connected to each other can be modularized. The connecting bracket has, at its both ends, a pair of projection-like pawl sections which are engageable respectively with engaging sections formed respectively on outer peripheral surfaces of the other air conditioning units. Incorporated in the connecting bracket is a pressure gage for detecting secondary pneumatic pressure within the regulator body. The pressure gage comprises a pressure detecting section, a pressure display section, pressure setting section and an abnormality alarm section.
Besides the individual modules (1', 1'"), a compressed air maintenance device consisting of individual easily interchangeable modules (1), e.g. pressure regulators, oil atomisers (1'"), condensate separators (1'), in which the individual modules (1) may have emitters (8) for the actual operating status and/or predetermined limit values, also has an indicating and monitoring module (1") having optical and/or acoustic signalling devices (10) for the operational and/or fault status determined for the individual modules (1). Said signalling devices (10) can be easily coupled to the relevant emitters (8) of the modules (1). Any necessary maintenance work or operational breakdowns are thus easily recognizable.
An apparatus for coupling a fluid-responsive device with a valve which includes an actuator. The valve responds to actuation of the actuator by opening a fluid path within the valve in response to the actuator being in a first position and by closing the fluid path in response to the actuator being in a second position. The apparatus comprises a coupler having a first engagement structure for fixedly engaging the fluid-responsive device at a first end, a second engagement structure for fixedly engaging the valve at a second end, and a passage between the first end and the second end. The apparatus further comprises a damper fixedly situated substantially blocking the passage. The damper is generally capillarized to establish a network of capillary vias through the damper. Still further, the apparatus comprises an extension formed integrally with the damper and proportioned to move the actuator when the valve is fixedly engaged at the second end.
A device for protecting a gauge includes a base portion for attachment to a surface, and a cover portion attached to the base portion for shielding the gauge from impact. In one embodiment, the base portion has legs defining a saddle-shaped surface matching the surface to which the gauge protector is attached. The cover portion may have a sight glass positioned such that the gauge face is visible even though the entire gauge is enclosed. The device may be used to protect a pressure gauge for a regulator for a portable oxygen bottle.
A docking station with a filter that sits inline in a process gas channel and that alternatively receives a loopback plate, a sensor plate and a removable purifier cartridge for particle removal as well as the removal of trace amounts of moisture, oxygen, and other chemical impurities from a gas stream. The removable purifier cartridge comprises a purifying medium with a pair of sealing poppet valves that automatically close when the cartridge is removed from the docking station. A block body is included in the docking station with gas line fittings for close gland-to-gland separations, while the purifier cartridge is off to one side, and not positioned directly in line between the glands.
A pressure sensor may include a first membrane that flexes in response to pressure, a reference cavity covered by the first membrane where the reference cavity contains a vacuum and a second membrane, adjacent to the first membrane, the first and second membranes forming a capacitor having a capacitance that varies in accordance with the flexing of the first membrane and the pressure.
