Abstract
A process for conditioning organic pigments by grinding them in water in the presence of a grinding assistant, which comprises using as the grinding assistant an unsubstituted or phenyl-substituted aliphatic or cycloaliphatic 1,2-dihydroxy compound having 6 to 30 C atoms. The process gives pigments which have good dispersing properties in high molecular weight organic material.
