Apparatus for holding and transporting paint includes a front, a bottom, side walls and a back wall. A top element is connected to the side walls and the back wall and is in registry with a portion of the bottom and spaced therefrom to define a receptacle for paint when the apparatus is positioned with the front disposed upwardly relative to the rear wall.
A mop stabilizing structure for use in a mop bucket includes a notched shelf which is vertically positioned inside a mop bucket above the base and below the lip of the bucket. Preferably, the shelf is manufactured as an integral part of the mop bucket and has a tapered notch for accommodating a variety of mop types and sizes. In addition, according to the invention, the lower interior of the bucket is preferably provided with an anti-skidding surface which is also preferably integrally formed with the bucket. The invention may be applied in buckets having different sizes and shapes, is inexpensive to manufacture, and is simple to use.
A paint bucket comprised of an open-top-end container. A lid is engageable over the open-to-end. The lid is provided with attachment brackets on an inner surface thereof for the retention of one or more paint applicating implements. A slot is formed in a top end of the bucket for accommodating passage of a paint roller connecting rod whereby a wet paint roller may be held inside the container connecting rod and handle extending outside the container to maintain the wet roller in an enclosed area to prevent the wet roller from drying, when not in use.
A paint tray that can be used in the vertical as well as horizontal position to hold paint for use with a roller. Formed longitudinally inside the tray is an inclined bottom surface designed to return excess paint to the basin when the paint tray is disposed horizontally. Formed on the inclined surfaces is a plurality of parallel raised contact surfaces that provides a directional contact surface used to remove excess paint from the roller and return the excess paint to the basin. The length of the inclined surface is sufficient to create freeboard for use in the vertical position without risk of spillage. The paint tray is equipped with a pair of legs attached to its distal end that allows the paint tray to rest vertically on the rung(s) of a ladder or step(s) of a stepladder, or horizontally on the ladder shelf as traditional paint trays. Aligned longitudinally on the distal end of the paint tray is a rigid handle for easy transport of the paint tray in the vertical position. Also aligned longitudinally on the proximal end of the paint tray are a plurality of feet that enable the paint tray to stand vertically on a support surface.
An adjustable paint tray carrier is provided for carrying and transporting a paint tray of the type having substantially parallel, vertically disposed, opposing spaced-apart side walls that define an upper perimeter lip. The paint tray carrier comprises a first support arm that includes an upper supported end, a spaced-apart lower fastening end and a body disposed therebetween. Similarly an opposing second support arm is provided that includes an upper supported end, a spaced-apart lower fastening end and a body disposed therebetween. Additionally, the first support arm is pivotally connected to the second support arm to allow relative pivotal movement so that the distance between the lower fastening ends of the opposing support arms is variable. To facilitate the connection of each support arm to a side wall of a paint tray, a clamp is disposed on the lower fastening end of each support arm. Each support arm is relatively pivotable from a first closed compact position where the lower fastening ends of the support arms are adjacently disposed, to a second open spread-apart position where each fastening end is disposed adjacent an opposing side wall of the paint tray. Accordingly, the clamp of each support arm can engage a respective side wall to secure the paint tray carrier to the paint tray.
A paint bucket having cylindrical side walls, a bottom, has two integrally-formed inclined rolling surfaces extending upward from the bottom and inward toward the center, which meet at a peak below the top rim and form rolling surfaces. The rolling surfaces are angled inward, the side walls are angled outward and the area underneath the rolling surfaces is hollow to allow multiple paint buckets to be stacked together.
