Abstract
A fishing boat has a flat inner floor with a front operating station having a seat moveable between a lower run position and a raised fishing position. A base frame includes abutting box-like members having a common wall. The frame is secured to the floor with a base plate secured to the first forward box-like portion. The rearward frame box-like portion defines a recess to receive a cooler having a raised and flat top wall. A non-load bearing hinge unit in the form of arms or a single plate has a length greater than the vertical distance between the base plate and the top wall of the cooler. The hinge unit is secured to the rear edge of the base plate for folding onto the base plate, with the seat abutting the base plate and without any load on the hinge unit. The seat plate is secured to the outer end of the hinge unit and folds onto the base plate in the folded position. In an unfolded position, the hinge unit locates the seat plate in a raised position resting on the top wall of the cooler, without any load on the hinge unit.

5353734 - Seat for watercraft - Owned by Yamaha Hatsudoki Kabushiki Kaisha (Iwata,JP)

A number of embodiments of seat assemblies for a watercraft wherein the seat includes a cushion comprised of at least in part an open celled foam that is covered on its lower side by a bottom plate and on its upper side by a skin that is sealingly engaged also with the bottom plate. At least one air flow opening is formed in the bottom through which air may be expelled upon compression of the cushioning material and returned upon expansion of the cushioning material. This opening communicates with a hermetically sealed cavity so that water cannot enter the cushion along with the air flowing through the opening. In some embodiments, the openings discharge into a flexible bag which offers a further hermetic seal for the openings and which is contained in the cavity.

5622403 - Multi-function canoe chair

A multi-function/positioned chair for a watercraft which can be adjusted as between sitting, kneeling, and portaging positions, comprising a seat which contains a front, rear, top and bottom sections, a structure for supporting the canoe on the front section of said seat when portaging, including a first pivot attached at said front section at the bottom of the seat and proximate to said portage support, an adjustment arm attached to said first pivot, a second pivot attached to the rear section of the seat, a first leg affixed to said seat at said second pivot and extending downwardly and under the front section of said seat, a second leg attached to said second pivot extending downwardly and under the seat under the rear section of said seat, and a member for connecting said first and second legs to maintain said legs apart under a load, characterized in that the first and second pivots are selectively disposed relative to one another, and the lengths of the first and second leg are adjusted such that the chair can be positioned as between a sitting, kneeling or portaging position.

7281487 - Adjustable boat platform insert

An adjustable boat platform is provided that attaches to a conventional boat and transforms it into a fishing platform typically found on a bass boat. The invention attaches to the perimeter of just about any "V"-bottom boat using special slots and locking pins.

6497453 - Frame and seat support for a riding lawn mower - Owned by Murray, Inc. (Brentwood, TN)

A frame channel is provided for the mounting of an engine of a rear engine riding lawn mower. A platform is secured to the frame channel, the platform includes a portion which overlays the engine and which includes an opening therein. A seat-supporting hood normally overlays the opening. The hood is pivotally mounted to the platform whereby when the hood is pivoted to an open position to expose the platform opening, access to the engine is obtained.

7222832 - Support mechanism

A support mechanism comprises a base member, first and second support arms, first and second synchronizing arms, and a load-supporting platform. The first support arm is connected to a pivot bracket and the based member in a manner to permit pivoting movement of the first support arm between stowed and deployed positions. The second support arm is connected to the pivot bracket and the load-supporting platform in a manner to permit pivoting movement of the second support arm relative to the load-supporting platform between stowed and deployed positions. The first and second synchronizing arms are also operatively connected to the based member, pivot bracket and load-supporting platform in a manner so that the first synchronizing arm and first support arm maintain a substantially parallel relationship with one another throughout the entire range of movement of the first support arm, and so that the second synchronizing arm and second support arm also maintain a substantially parallel relationship with one another throughout the entire range of movement of the second support arm.
