An arm assembly is movable from a stowed position adjacent one side of a vehicle seat toward the occupant to restrain the occupant in the seat and movable away from the occupant to the stowed position. The arm assembly has a first length when in the stowed position and a second length when restraining the occupant. The first length when the arm assembly is in the stowed position is less than the second length of the arm assembly when restraining the occupant. A motor-driven linear actuator moves the arm assembly from and to the stowed position.
A safety harness consisting of a plurality of beveled rigid blocks connected in a string by loose couplings, having a fixed end fastened to one side of a vehicle seat by an adjustable mounting device and a free end fastened to an opposite side of the vehicle seat by a latch and latch release, wherein when the safety harness is fastened up, the rigid blocks are respectively side matched and connected into an arched rigid guard around the vehicle seat to protect the user.
The device provides an automobile seat belt structure and an assist apparatus thereof which can provide a comfortable drive environment by restraining nothing of a chest of an occupant by a seat belt, remove a pressure feeling of the chest for an occupant having a disease in the chest, an occupant having a hypertension, a headache or a retch and the like, and can secure safety with respect to various body types such as a physical build of the occupant, a child and a tall figure, a fatness and the like. Further, the invention provides an automobile seat belt structure and an assist apparatus thereof which can completely prevent a so-called submarine phenomenon that an occupant slides out from a lower area of a belt and strongly collides with a dash board or the like, when an accident is generated. In order to achieve the object mentioned above, the device provides an automobile seat belt structure and an assist apparatus thereof, wherein a seat belt portion is attached in a state of keeping a tension without being in contact with a body of an occupant, and a prevention device for preventing a so-called submarine phenomenon that the occupant slides out from a lower area of the belt when an accident is generate is provided in the belt portion.
The object of the invention is a driver restraint device for an industrial truck, whereby the driver restraint device has a pivoting bar. The invention teaches that the bar can be pivoted by an operator as desired between an inoperative position and a restraining position, and can be locked in the restraining position and unlocked from the restraining position. In one configuration of the invention, there is at least one control element and/or at least one indicator or display element on the bar. In an additional configuration, a parking brake of the industrial truck can be released as a function of the rotational position of the bar.
An automobile seat belt structure and an assist apparatus thereof which can provide a comfortable drive environment by not restraining a chest of an occupant by a seat belt is provided. An automobile seat belt structure and an assist apparatus thereof which can completely prevent a so-called submarine phenomenon, where an occupant slides out from a lower area of a belt when an accident occurs, is also provided.
A passive passenger restraint system adapted for use with aerial, cable-supported chairlifts includes a passive restraint that is driven by the motion of the chairlift. A seatbelt automatically deploys across the laps of the passengers. The seatbelt restrains the passengers until the end of the trip and then releases the restraint just before unloading the passengers. After unloading, the restraint system automatically resets for the next passengers and the next deployment cycle. A similar passenger restraint system for use in vehicles restrains passengers individually using a shoulder belt and a lap belt.
