Abstract
The disclosed cap has an elongated body with screw threads formed on one end, and an interior cavity extended axially away from the threads toward the other end. The cavity is defined in part by a generally transverse face disposed radially in from the threads and an elongated smaller closed end bore extended axially from the transverse face. The threads and face would be sized to correspond to the threads and transverse face on a packing nut used on an exterior water faucet, and the bore would be sized with sufficient diameter and length to fit with clearance over the faucet stem. The cap would preclude unauthorized use of the faucet by replacing the faucet packing nut with it, which then would overlie the stem and preclude opening or closing actuation of the faucet.

5607084 - Locking system for beverage taps

A locking system for beverage taps (10) is provided for use with conventional beverage faucets (12) such as those utilized to dispense kegged beer and the like. The system (10) incorporates an elongated valve stem (14) which protrudes from the proximal end (38) of the faucet body (12) and is provided with an axial end bore (66) having pin threads (68) therein. A lock subassembly (18) actuated by a key (20) attaches to the valve stem (14) by a threaded driver pin (118) which engages the pin threads (66). A case cylinder (80) encloses the engagement position and overlaps a portion of the faucet body (12) such that antirotation ears (113) prevent relative rotation and loosening of the engagement except when the key (20) is utilized. When tightened, the lock subassembly (18) forces the valve stem (14) into a closed position, preventing opening of the faucet and dispensing of beverages.

6648178 - Tap lock apparatus and methods of operation thereof

An apparatus and method are provided for deterring or hindering any operation or dispensing of fluid through one or more taps by an unauthorized user. The apparatus is a tap block, the tap block including a block wall having a block exterior surface and a block interior surface, the block interior surface defining a nozzle receiving cavity sized and shaped relative to the nozzle exterior surface such that at least a portion of the nozzle adjacent to the nozzle outlet may be received therein, the block wall including a nozzle receiving aperture opening from the block exterior surface through the block wall to the nozzle receiving cavity, the nozzle receiving aperture opening sized and shaped relative to the nozzle exterior surface such that at least the nozzle portion insertable into the nozzle receiving cavity may be received therethrough; and a securing device, the securing device is capable of maintaining said position of the tap block relative to the tap nozzle.

6158455 - Antifreeze cap for faucet

A cap assembly for providing continuous drip to a faucet exposed to freezing temperatures such as a faucet located outside a house. The cap assembly includes a cap member adapted to be mounted over the end of a faucet, which cap member includes a cylindrical wall portion and a closed end portion having an opening therein. The cap assembly includes an internal annular ridge which is adapted to receive a flow disc within the ridge, which flow disc includes an opening which is non-aligned with the opening in the closed end portion of the cap in order to create a dripping action. A rubber washer is positioned in sealing engagement with the internal annular ridge and the flow disc. A filter member is located within the rubber washer such that, upon mounting of the cap assembly over the end portion of a faucet, a continuous dripping flow through the cap assembly may be provided in order to prevent water within the faucet or within piping leading to the faucet from freezing.
