A device for fitting glass facade elements to a building facade, in which the facade elements are glued to profiled sections which are secured to the building facade by means of fastener devices, such as screws. The invention is characterized in that the device includes three parts, a first part (2; 22) intended to be fastened in the facade, a second part (3; 23) which is intended to be glued to the upper edge of the facade element (1), and a third part (4; 24) which is intended to be glued to the bottom edge of the element (1) . The first part (2) includes an upwardly facing channel (7) which is intended to coact with a downwardly extending tongue (8) belonging to the third part (4; 24), and further includes a downwardly extending tongue (9) which extends parallel with the channel (7) and which is located on a lower level than the channel (7) and which is intended to coact with an upwardly open pocket (10) belonging to the second part ( 3; 23). The pocket (10) is provided with a flat glue surface (11) which is intended to be glued to the upper part (12) of a facade element (1). The third part (4; 24) includes a glue surface (13) which is intended to be glued to the bottom part (14) of a facade element (1), the glue surface (13) being parallel with the tongue (8), and further includes a supportive surface (15) which extends at right angles outwardly from the glue surface (13) and against which the bottom edge (16) of a facade element is intended to rest. In a fitted state, the distance from the bottom edge of the tongue (9) of the first part through the bottom (11) of the pocket (10) exceeds the depth of the upwardly facing channel (7). FIG. 5 for publication.
A cladding system used to secure a cladding material panel to a building structure and including upper and lower bracket members to cooperatively and respectively engage upper and lower ends of adjacent cladding material panels. The upper bracket member includes a first fastener member to engage an interior surface of a first cladding material panel and a second fastener member a spaced apart distance therefrom and also engaging the first cladding material panel. A mount assembly secures the upper bracket member a spaced apart distance from the building structure and facilitates alignment of the cladding material panels. The lower bracket member includes a first lower fastener member to engage a second cladding material panel and a second lower fastener member a spaced apart distance therefrom which also engages the second cladding material. A coupling assembly secures the upper and lower bracket members in aligned relation with one another such that an exterior surface of the first cladding material panel secured by the upper bracket member is generally aligned with an exterior surface of the second cladding material panel secured by the lower bracket member.
A fastening member which comprises a substrate; a horizontal portion perpendicularly projected from the substrate; an upwardly inclined hook portion obliquely extended upward from a distal edge of the horizontal portion; a downwardly inclined hook portion obliquely extended downward from the distal edge of the horizontal portion; and a flat plate portion extended parallel with the substrate from a distal edge of the upwardly inclined hook portion and/or of the downwardly inclined hook portion. The substrate may be provided with an urging means for pressing the back surface of a siding board to prevent slipping.
A plurality of engaging pieces each formed of washer (35) for instance are fixed to the rear surface of a building board (30). A plurality of elongated fixtures (10), each provided at the lower end thereof with an engaging tongue (20a) and at the upper end thereof with an engaging region (12a) designed to be engaged with the engaging tongue (20a), are engaged with the engaging pieces. The fixtures (10) thus engaged are directly fixed to the posts (1) or studs (2) of a building. Since each fixture (10) is provided with a rising portion (12), a ventilation space (Sc) is secured between the framework of the building and the rear surface of a building board (30). The coupling between upper and lower building boards (30) can be effected through the linkage between a couple of fixtures (10). Since the engaging tongue (20a) is made separable from the building board (30), the building boards (30) can be transported for instance without becoming bulky.
A wall cladding system to provide an attractive finished, exterior appearance to a building wall, the system including an assembly of adjacent, similar, thin cladding elements, oriented in a substantially vertical plane, each cladding element including an exterior panel provided with an exterior and an interior major face, the interior major face being attached by an adhesive material to a flexible sheet of material having an upper edge projecting beyond the cladding element. Further, a plurality of spaced-apart fasteners are provided to connect the flexible sheet of material to a building wall.
An improved cladding board mounting system for mounting cladding boards (100) adjacent a surface to be concealed. Each cladding board (100) includes at least one support member (130) on the interior face (120) of the cladding board. The system further includes at least one mounting member (170) which includes an engaging formation (172) adapted for releasable engagement with a complementary engaging formation (132) of a respective support member. The mounting member also includes a second segment (174) for releasable connection to the surface to be concealed. Preferably a mounting bracket (70) extends between the surface to be clad and the mounting member (170).
