An improved concealable toy doll, whose garments may be inverted to conceal the doll and form a convenient carrying sack. Improvements include a construction in which the toy doll wears a single-piece, full-body gown and has an interior sack within the body to prevent the stuffing material from shifting. Further improvements include a hollow compressible chamber between the body and carrying sack, which allows the user to pull the carrying sack up and over the body and head of the toy doll with ease.
A stuffed toy formed by providing stuffable toy shell having several fabric members fastened together, thereby defining a container which encloses an interior chamber and which has an exterior surface defining a shape of a toy. The container has an opening which extends through the container material, and is in communication with the interior chamber. A drawstring is stitched around the opening such that the drawstring may be tightened to thereby close the opening. After inserting a stuffing material into the interior chamber of the container through the opening, the drawstring is tightened to close the opening and retain the stuffing in the interior chamber of the container. The closed may opening form a puckered seam which resembles a navel, a scar or other characteristic feature in appearance. The method is generically applicable to doll making.
The present invention discloses a baby doll gift set comprised of component gift items which, when assembled, are sized and shaped so as to resemble a human infant. A baby doll gift assembly comprises essential component items of this set. Flexible, elongate, cylindrically shaped gift items are transversely inserted through a centralized elastic fabric sleeve to simulate infant appendages. At least one gift item sized and shaped so as to resemble an infant torso is longitudinally sandwiched between the cylindrically shaped gift items inside the elastic fabric sleeve to simulate an infant torso. A spherically shaped gift item is inserted spatially superior to the arm-simulative gift item to simulate an infant head. The resulting baby doll gift assembly may then be further accessorized as desired to complete the baby doll gift set.
A combination toy and packaging assembly which is suitable for mailing without additional packaging includes a toy, preferably a plush toy animal, having predetermined areas thereon for receiving mailing and return addresses, and for indicating proper placement of postage. The sender of the toy can write the name and address of the receiving person onto the toy. The toy can be further provided with additional areas to write messages, pockets for gift items, flaps for pictures, electronic voice chips for outputting voice or musical greetings, strings for hanging the toy as an ornament, pins for attaching the toy to clothing, etc. The plush toy animal is received within a transparent, flexible plastic casing which substantially conforms to the outer surface of the toy. The casing includes a resealable opening for inserting and removing the toy from the casing. When the toy is received within the casing, the mailing and return addresses are clearly visible through the casing so that the assembly can be properly handled by mail carriers. Postage is placed on the exterior of the casing over the predetermined area indicated on the body of the toy, after which, the toy assembly can be placed into the mail without additional packaging. Other embodiments include an assembly consisting of a card upon which the sender writes the mailing and return addresses, a miniature toy and a transparent flexible envelope.
