Abstract
A displaceable feeding fence. This feeding fence comprises an elongate frame, a fence arranged on the frame with a number of passage openings for the head of an animal, and support and guide members connected to the frame which support and guide the frame such that it can be displaced transversely of its longitudinal direction forward and backward through a stroke length over a ground surface. The feeding fence further comprises a mat of flexible material which is connected to the frame with a longitudinal edge over the length of the fence and which is connected to the floor with an opposite longitudinal edge. In the fully advanced position the mat extends over the floor surface to the rear of the frame.

6039002 - Moving head gate feeding apparatus

A head gate for use in controlling access of livestock to feed exposed at an open end of an elongated agricultural storage bag of the type formed of tubular flexible sheet plastic. The head gate includes a framework having a central portion which extends across in front of the open end and is provided with a number of openings sized to permit the livestock to reach through and feed from a face of compacted feed within the bag, the framework being mounted on skids to allow the head gate to be shoved towards the open end of the bag. Sheet plastic storage rolls are mounted on the framework and have a drive system to rotate the rolls relative to the framework for gathering the sheet material which had formed the bag and becomes excess as the feed recedes from the open end. The head gate allows for use of the feed directly from the bag with little labour involved while maintaining the feed clean and preventing wastage. After the stored food of the bag is completely consumed the sheet plastic of the bag which has been maintained in a neatly stored condition can be easily removed for disposal.

6205951 - Livestock feeder

This invention is a livestock feeder comprising a top gate, a bottom gate, a center gate disposed between the top gate and the bottom gate, the top gate, the bottom gate, and the center gate define a gate system. The bottom gate can swing inward when the feed is eaten. Then after the livestock eat the feed when the gate is swung inward, the gate can be "reset" to the vertical position, and then the gate system can be moved closer to the feed. A device for horizontal movement disposed on the gate system whereby the gate system can move in a horizontal direction when movement of the device for horizontal movement is initiated. A device for initiating horizontal movement includes a hand crank. This invention can be in a covered environment similar to a pole barn. The sized can vary depending on the livestock herd, the property, and the feed. A sloped floor helps prevent waste accumulation where the livestock feed.

7493872 - Livestock exerciser/feeder

Disclosed is a method and apparatus for exercising livestock animals to increase their muscle mass and decrease fat content. In one embodiment a feeding apparatus is provided which provides a resistance over which a livestock animal must overcome to feed. In one embodiment a feeding apparatus is provided which allows for adjustable resistance.
