Disclosed are compounds of formula ##STR1## wherein F represents: ##STR2## or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt. The compounds are useful in treating hyperproliferative skin disease, allergic reactions and inflamation.

No. 07/051,108 filed May 15, 1987 now abandoned, the benefit of which application is claimed pursuant to the provisions of 35 U.S.C. .sctn..sctn.120, 363 and 365(c).
This invention relates to substituted 1-benzazepines and derivatives thereof useful as antibacterial agents, to compositions, including pharmaceutical compositions, comprising such compounds, to processes for making these compounds and to methods of using these compounds for killing bacteria or inhibiting bacterial growth.
