A hair cosmetic composition comprising a branched fatty acids of the following formula (1), ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a methyl or ethyl group, n is an integer of 4-16, and R.sup.2 is an amino, alkoxy, or glycerol group. The composition imparts excellent sensation to hair and prevents hairs from being damaged.
A hair care product which comprises a salt of an acylated compound obtained by condensing fatty acids containing at least 40% of branched fatty acids having 20 to 32 carbon atoms with silk protein-derived peptides, which hair care product is effective in imparting a good texture and preventing the hair from damages (split hair, clipped hair, etc.) without giving any tackiness or greasiness.
The invention relates to novel detergent cosmetic compositions comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, at least one anionic hydroxyalkyl ether carboxylic acid surfactant and at least one cationic galactomannan gum.
The invention relates to novel detergent cosmetic compositions comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, at least one anionic surfactant chosen from 2-hydroxyalkyl ether carboxylic acid and salts thereof and at least one silicone chosen from: (i) volatile or non-volatile, linear, branched or cyclic and crosslinked or non-crosslinked polyalkylsiloxanes, polyarylsiloxanes or polyalkylarylsiloxanes; (ii) polysiloxanes comprising, in their general structure, one or more organofunctional groups chosen from: a) substituted or unsubstituted aminated groups; b) (per)fluorinated groups; c) thiol groups; d) carboxylate groups; e) hydroxylated groups; f) alkoxylated groups; g) acyloxyalkyl groups; h) amphoteric groups; i) bisulphite groups; j) hydroxyacylamino groups; k) carboxylic acid groups; l) sulphonic groups; m) sulphate or thiosulphate groups; (iii) linear polysiloxane(A)-polyoxyalkylene(B) block copolymers of (A--B).sub.n type with n>3; (iv) grafted silicone polymers composed of a main chain not comprising silicone; and (v) grafted silicone polymers composed of a polysiloxane main chain.
The invention discloses quaternary ante-iso acids useful as additives in personal care products. Various quaternary derivatives of ante-sio acids are described, and examples of their use in personal care composition are presented.
The invention provides methods and materials for improving or maintaining hair care. Such hair care compositions can contain a macrocyclic lactone and/or an eicosanoate ester. In addition, the hair care compositions can contain a grape skin extract, a benzophenone, and/or an aryl benzotriazole. Further, the hair care methods and materials can provide increased hair manageability as well as protection against sun exposure (e.g., exposure to ultraviolet radiation) and repeated chemical treatment.
