An advertising display including a display object, a motor connected to the display object for rotating the object about a rotation axis, and a control circuit coupled to the motor. The control circuit includes a direct current energy source, and an oscillator connected to the energy source for generating a predetermined series of regularly timed energy pulses having a selected frequency and duty cycle to cause excitation of the motor in response to the energy pulses.
A motorized display using transistor oscillation to impart motion to point-of-purchase displays or other items is disclosed. A transistor oscillator movement, is used to rotate the display. A transistor oscillator motor has a drive train including a drive shaft and a battery as a power source. The drive shaft rotates when the motor is powered, a holder for a sign or merchandise item is connected to the drive shaft exterior to a motor housing and may be removable from the drive shaft. The drive shaft may be positioned vertically, horizontally or diagonally depending on the type of display being used. The rotation of the drive shaft may be either continuous one way or a 360 degree two-way revolution.
A display apparatus includes a stationary base portion and a support member mounted to a top surface of the stationary base portion. A vertically extending pole is disposed through the interior of each of the support member and the base portion along a center axis, thereby permitting selective rotation of the support member. The support member includes a plurality of lateral side panels for displaying graphic and or other materials, such as photographs and advertising. The vertically extending pole permits electrical leads to be routed therethrough to connect, for example, to at least one light source.
A mobile advertising device having a rotating display unit suspended from a cord that is preferably supported from a wand attached to a shelf unit in a store. The display unit has a battery powered motor that rotates a drum having a surface on which graphics are displayed and the display unit may include lights to attract the attention of customers.
In a volumetric display, a strobe source illuminates a moving object at successive instants separated by potentially unequal time intervals. By specifying these intervals, an illumination controller achieves eye-catching visual effects suitable for advertising kiosks or other public displays. The volumetric display includes a signal generator configured to generate a first and second signals. An illumination controller interleaves these signals and provides the resulting interleaved signals to a strobe unit that is disposed to illuminate the moving object in response to the interleaved signals.
A viewing assembly, viewing system, and method of use are provided. The viewing assembly and system and method of use provide images that may be viewed from any position orthogonal to, and from a plurality of positions oblique to, the axis on which a substantially planar viewing assembly may be rotated. The assembly and method allow viewers to view images from any position 360 degrees around the viewing assembly.
