In a cable-actuated window lifter, especially for motor vehicles with a driver (3) carrying a window panel (1) along a guide track (2), motor-driven or hand-operated adjustment mechanism (4, 4a and 4b) engaging directly into the retainer (3), and a braking device (5), which prevents an independent movement of the window panel (1) with the adjustment mechanism in rest position, whereby the braking device (5) is placed on the retainer (3) and includes at least one brake which can be pivoted around a bearing block (6), which, when the adjustment device (4) is in rest position, lays against at least one lateral surface (a) of the guide track (2) in a braking, preferably self-restraining, manner thereby releasing the guide track (2) when the adjustment device (4) is engaged, the brake being designed as a clamping block (7)placed off-center on the bearing pin (6), with two curved arcs (d and e) spiraling in opposite direction from its center (c), and being pre-loaded in clamping direction (Y) by a spring (8), thereby establishing the control track (2) as a C-profile, on whose adjoining lateral surfaces (a, b) are clamped the curved arcs (d and e) of the clamping block (7), onto which are clamped the ends of the cable-actuated adjustment device (4a and 4b) on different sides in release direction (X) relative to its bearing pin (6).
A door and door window regulator which prevents the cable member from making contact with the door glass includes a door having inner and outer panels, a guide rail having one end connected to the outer panel and the other end connected to the inner panel, a window bracket slidably supported along the guide rail through a slide member and connected to a door window, and a guide bracket located on the guide rail and supporting a motor. A drum is supported on the guide bracket and is rotated through operation of the motor, and a pulley is supported on the guide rail at a position spaced from the drum. The cable member is wrapped around the drum and includes a pair of cable ends, one end of which is connected with the window bracket after passing through the pulley and the other end of which is directly connected with the window bracket from the drum. The portions of the cable member extending from the pulley are located generally parallel to the length of the guide rail.
A cable window lifter for motor vehicles, with a guide rail, with a follower for a window pane which is mounted displaceable on the guide rail, and with a cable loop which is fixedly connected to the follower, in active connection with a drive unit, and is guided through guide pulley elements along the guide rail. The follower has a swivel mounted blocking element with a support area, preferably a support edge, which can be brought into positive locking engagement with a support element provided on the guide rail through swivel action of the follower. The support area of the follower associated with the support element is at a distance from the draw axis of the cable loop. The support element is mounted underneath the friction element. The window pane is in articulated connection with the follower.
A window regulator, e.g., for a vehicle window, which includes opposing block and pulley arrangements that interact via a lift pulley (36) mounted to a lift plate (16) that slides along a rail (22). Operative movement of a crank assembly (44) in a first sense tensions a cable (32a) to move the lift plate (16) toward a first end (34a) of the rail (22), and operative movement of the crank assembly (44) in a second sense, opposite the first sense, tensions a cable (32b) to move the lift plate (16) towards a second end (34b) of the rail (22). The regulator enables the reduction of the operating torque requirements without effecting the packaging of the crank assembly.
A rear-mounted modular sliding window assembly in a motor vehicle has a glazing pane, typically a slider subassembly incorporating a vertically mounted transparent pane, which is slidably mounted in a circumferential frame. The slider pane is mounted for sliding laterally back and forth between an open position and a closed position. A drive subassembly comprises a hand-operable drive unit for moving the sliding pane back and forth between the open and closed positions, having a drive drum and a handle secured to the drive drum and mounted remotely in the vehicle passenger compartment. The drive subassembly further comprises a mechanism for operatively connecting the handle to the sliding pane, for example, a drive cable mounted in the roof above a roof liner.
A window-regulator module comprises at least one rail on which slides at least one slider supporting a window. Cables and a drive motor drive the slider. The slider includes a sliding part complementary to the at least one rail with a lower end of the slider including a supporting surface for the window. At the lower end of the stroke of the slider, a lower edge of the window projects by a specified distance beyond the lower edge of the rail.
