A safety pillow assembly is provided for use by an infant to prevent suffocation of the infant when lying in a face down position thereon. The pillow assembly includes a hollow, rigid core having spaced-apart top and bottom walls defining an air reservoir. A multiplicity of openings are formed in the core for allowing substantially unobstructed passage of air into and out of the reservoir. An air-permeable, cushioning sleeve encloses the core and provides a soft comfortable surface to cushion the head of the infant. The sleeve allows a free flow of air from the reservoir through the openings in the core and to the infant when lying in a face down position.

The neck supporting pillow includes a pillow comprising an outer wall having opposed side ends and a concave top side, and further includes an inner wall, an internally-disposed inner chamber, and an internally-disposed outer chamber being separated from the inner chamber with the inner wall and having an upper compartment and a lower compartment being separated by an annular divider; and further includes a plurality of support members which are essentially planar and made of fabric material, each of the support members extending at a slant from the inner wall to a respective side end of the outer wall; and also includes a plurality of valve member disposed in and through the inner wall to control flow of liquid or air between the inner chamber and the outer chamber.
A pillow with a breathable valley for an infant includes a pillow having a top surface, a bottom surface, and a center portion. The top surface has a smoothly transitioning concave surface forming a top valley. The top valley is positioned about the center portion of the top surface. The top valley has an upper perimeter with a first closed side and a first open side. A first top valley extension projects from the first open side. A breathable semi-porous membrane rests within the top valley and the first top valley extension.
A support adapted for infant holding devices, such as strollers, swing, seats, etc., includes an upper support and a lower support extending from the upper support. The upper support is adapted to support the upper portion of the body, including the head, and the lower support is adapted for supporting the lower portion of the body. The upper portion has a head support that includes a base member having a central support and left and right upper supports extending left and right of the central support. Each of the left and right supports has a pocket carrying a substantially rigid backing member. These backing members shape the left and right supports to a desired configuration for purposes of supporting opposite lateral portions of the head. In particular, each backing member is arcuate or semi-cylindrical, with a concave side and a arcuate backing member. The convex side provides the support area and enables the left and right supports to be easily angled about the central support so that they substantially face toward each other. A cushioning material is placed adjacent to the backing member.
