A storage shelf system includes vertical supports and spacedapart, parallel horizontal bars connecting the vertical supports. Horizontal shelf members extend perpendicularly to the horizontal bars and are fastened with their first and second end portions to the spaced-apart, parallel horizontal bars. The horizontal shelf members provide support surfaces for goods to be stored in the shelf system. The horizontal bars have cutouts. The horizontal shelf members have securing elements engaging the cutouts for securing the horizontal shelf members to the horizontal bars.

A product merchandising display unit capable of being both vertically and horizontally arranged to achieve a wide variety of different modular configurations includes plurality of substantially similar shelf members, a plurality of support members, and a plurality of full sockets and partial sockets associated with the upper and lower portions of each of the shelf members for cooperatively engaging the support members. Any number of shelf members can be vertically stackably arranged one above the other by attaching the support members to the full sockets associated with each respective shelf member. In the case where two shelf members are positioned in side-by-side relationship one adjacent the other, such adjacent shelf members can be joined along their abutting edge portions by attaching the support members to aligned pairs of the partial sockets associated with the respective shelf members. In another embodiment, sockets having split channels associated therewith are used instead of separate full and partial sockets in order to achieve the vertical and horizontal arrangements of adjacent shelf members, each split socket combining the features of a full and partial socket into a single socket.

A cantilevered shelving system is provided for manual assembly along the wall panels of a molded utility shed. Several shelves are provided that are removably secured to brackets that removably fasten into reinforcing strips in the wall panels. Each shelf is supported by at least two triangular brackets near the opposite ends. The brackets have upper and lower fasteners on a vertical leg that pivotably connect to the shed through apertures in the reinforcing strips.

An add-on storage device for flat objects, particularly CD and/or DVD cases, is made up of box-shaped housing elements which are open at the front and lie against one another with facing side walls. Clip-shaped connection elements are pushed onto adjoining side walls which form a common edge, in a predetermined fastening region from the open housing side and from the opposite bottom side, to engage over the side walls at the inner surface of the housing elements. In the fastening region, the open side at the inner surfaces of the adjoining side walls have a depression and/or elevation, and the connection element has an associated elevation and/or depression. The elevation and/or depression of the inner surface of the side wall forms a positive lock-in connection with the associated depression and/or elevation at the connection element.

A shelving system features two spaced apart pairs of support rods deployed roughly vertically with a number of shelf assemblies supported thereby. Each shelf assembly is constructed from an open ended, molded polymer shelf having two openings in the upper surface adjacent to each of the open ends, and two suspension inserts engageable within the open ends. Each suspension insert has a pair of vertical bores, aligned with the openings when assembled, which are configured for forming suspension joints with the support rods. Since the precision vertical bores are contained within the separate suspension inserts, the main body of the shelf can be molded by techniques employing primarily longitudinal movement of mold parts, i.e., along the longest dimension of the shelves. In a preferred embodiment, each shelf is formed with support elements of closed cross-section extending along most or all of its length. Also disclosed is a snap-on drawer assembly for attachment to the underside of one of the shelves.
