A golf swing training apparatus having a circular track is made by bending an elongate X-section extrusion of an aluminum alloy to form a plurality of partial circular track sections, which are then joined end-to-end to form a full 360.degree. circular hoop. A multi-wheeled club guide cart rides on the track with a V-shaped circumference of each wheel mated to radially inner and outer opposed corner edges of the track member. The golf club includes a shaft of uniform diameter that rotates and slides in a linear bearing that in turn is connected by a pivot to the cart that allows rotation of the linear bearing and pivoting of the bearing for free movement of the golf club shaft in a plane orthogonal to that of the hoop throughout the swing.
A handle for a swing-type exercising device has an adjustable shaft extender connectable to a resistance as the handle is swung for exercise purposes. The handle can also have an offset extension that allows a resistance to apply a torque force to the handle shaft as a swing approaches a hitting region. Split grips on the handle can be independently adjustable for rotation or non-rotation relative to the handle shaft so that resistance to the torque can be assigned to different hands holding the independent grips.
A golf swing training apparatus consisting of a base; a club guide ring; left, right, and rear hinge shafts; left, right, and rear hinge sleeves, the left, right, and rear hinge shafts extending through the left, right, and rear hinge sleeves so that the left and right ends of the left, right, and rear hinge shafts extend leftwardly and rightwardly from the left and right ends of the left, right, and rear hinge sleeves. Each of the left and right ends of the left, right, and rear hinge shafts are attached to the base or making up a part of the base. Left, right, and rear slip joints are provided for attaching the club guide ring to the left, right, and rear hinge sleeves. The rear slip joint consists of an alternately extendable and retractable shaft for, upon alternate extension and retraction, alternately pivoting and counter-pivoting the club guide ring about the left and right hinge shafts.
A golf training aid includes a circular hoop that is inclined or inclinable in use at an angle to the horizontal. A planar surface is defined extending outwardly from a surface of an upper end of the hoop and parallel to the plane of the hoop. The golf training aid can be used in combination with a club and can assist a golfer in developing an improved swing.
An endless roller chain conveyor supports pallets, which independently travel along the horizontal runs of the conveyor, while the roller chain runs continuously. The pallets are attached in a vertical position and may be stopped and held anywhere along the conveyor using mechanically driven stop assemblies located at required load, unload, holdback, or workstation positions assigned to the particular application. The carriers or pallets are driven on the roller chain by way of a guided sprocket, adjustable clutch, alignment bar, and support roller assemblies. The pallets are guided by "V" grooved wheels or other roller or wheel arrangement securing the pallet to a track assembly fitted to the upper support structure which creates a continuous track which allows pallets to travel in a "carousel" fashion. Vertical-type pallets allow for the transport of long products as well as parts commonly carried on the horizontal style of the conveyor.
An exerciser uses a handle and bracket combined with a resistance that opens the bracket away from the handle to facilitate wrist cocking in a backswing region of a simulated swing. As the handle moves downward and forward toward a hitting region of the swing, the bracket moves to a closed position requiring the exerciser's wrists to uncock against the resistance in approaching the hitting region.
