AbstractAn absorbent article having a substantial volume capacity and retainable shape is disclosed which includes a cover sheet, an absorbent core, and a multi-layered moisture barrier laminate including a polymeric foam layer and at least one thermally bonded layer. Also, elastic members are attached to longitudinal sides of the article to form a cup-shaped article which has a cupping strength of about 30 grams to about 90 grams.
