Abstract
A cage for use in a spinal repair system wherein a pair of inert, relatively open bone-graft contouring cages are disposed between adjacent vertebrae mounted to the boney structure of these vertebrae wherein the vertebrae will knit together and act as a single unit. The upper and lower surfaces of the cages follow an arcuate path for increased contact with the abutting surfaces of the vertebrae themselves.

5904719 - Interbody fusion device having partial circular section cross-sectional segments - Owned by TechSys Medical, LLC (Summit, NJ)

A tubular interbody fusion device having flat upper and lower surfaces including multiple parallel ratcheted blade ridges having opposing orientations, concave exterior side walls, an interior axial bore having inwardly directed ratcheted ridges, and a plurality of through holes extending from the upper and lower surfaces into the interior bore, from the sides into the interior bore, and from the upper and lower surfaces through the side walls.

An intervertebral disk prosthesis for implantation between two adjacent vertebrae is disclosed which is more easily implantable intermediate the adjacent vertebrae, particularly from a posterior surgical approach, due to the two-piece construction of the intervertebral disk prosthesis. The intervertebral disk prosthesis of the present invention consists of first and second intervertebral disk segments which, when connected together by a bolt, together form a substantially elliptical configuration of a size fitting between the endplates of two adjacent vertebrae to maintain them in a properly spaced-apart and stable configuration which will be resistive to normal compressive forces exerted on the spine. Large apertures extending through the first and second intervertebral segments may be packed with bone chips or marrow prior to being implanted to facilitate bone ingrowth therethrough to fuse the aforesaid vertebrae together.

6942697 - Pair of lumbar interbody implants and method of fusing together adjoining vertebrae bodies - Owned by Co-Ligne AG (Zurich,CH)

The pair of lumbar interbody implants is designed to be pushed laterally in a space between adjacent vertebrae for replacing the disc between these vertebrae. Each implant comprises a first and a second saggital wall and an anterior wall at one end and a posterior wall at the other end. The two implants are asymmetric to each other and are therefore more appropriate for the transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion. Preferably a first implant has a first saggital wall with an outer surface that is curved and a second saggital wall that is essentially plane.

6080158 - Intervertebral fusion device

An intervertebral fusion device is formed of an elastic block body which is provided in the upper contact surface thereof with a plurality of downward elastic slots substantially parallel to one another, and in the lower contact surface thereof with one or more upward elastic slots substantially parallel to the downward elastic slots. The upward elastic slots and the downward elastic slots are arranged in an alternating manner. The elastic block body has a left surface and a right surface, which are substantially planar in construction. The upper contact surface and the lower contact surface of the elastic block body are of a convex construction.

7587780 - Shoe cleaning sand rake

A sand rake which serves two purposes: 1) raking the sand in a bunker to provide a smooth sand surface; and 2) efficient and safe removal of the sand trapped or lodged on or near the soles of a player's golf shoes. The dual purpose sand rake may be used to conveniently clean the player's shoes before stepping foot on the putting green, thereby reducing the amount of sand and other debris tracked onto the green, or, alternatively, before the player attempts another shot, thereby enhancing the player's footing. The sand rake removes the need for the player to walk to the next tee box or wait until the round is finished to clean his or her shoes. Moreover, the sand rake removes the need for the player to tap his or her shoes with the golf club to clean his or her shoes, thereby eliminating the risk of injury to the player's ankle or foot as well as damage to the shoes.
