A game device includes a plurality of game blocks, at least two playing cards, and at least two hollow game boxes. The game blocks are grouped into at least three sets by shapes and sizes so that each of the game blocks belonging to a particular set has a cross section different from those of the game blocks belonging to the other sets. Each set is further grouped into at least two subsets by a predetermined printed matter thereon. Each of the playing cards has at least three rows and at least two columns of patterns. Each pattern is a combination of the cross section of the set and at least one print of the subset. Each of the game boxes includes an upright front wall formed with an elongated slot to permit insertion of a selected one of the playing cards thereinto, and an upper game board which defines at least three rows and at least two columns of openings respectively corresponding to in cross section and superimposed upon the patterns of the playing card.
An interactive game for teaching children the concept of matching and the skills of writing and drawing. The game includes a plurality of game pieces having game piece indicia thereon, and at least one game board having game board indicia thereon. A player may select a game board and a game piece from the plurality of game pieces, match the game piece indicia of a selected game piece with a corresponding game board indicia. The player may then trace a symbol associated with the matched indicia within a tracing area or write or draw something associated with the matched indicia within a drawing area.
A game apparatus and a method of playing a game are described. According to the method, a plurality of images on a game board is viewed. Each image has a board identifier and shows a subject at a first date. A plurality of cards is viewed. Each of the cards has a card image and a card identifier, and shows one of the subjects at a second date. The method includes matching the cards with the images in response to perceived similarities. Multiple players or teams can perform the method and a winner is determined according to the player or team achieving the greatest number of correct answers.
A contest method and process are devised in which the memory faculties of the contestants are exercised by viewing a set of randomly selected symbol groupings for a first interval of time and thereafter the specific symbols and their groupings are recollected in a second interval of time. The symbol groupings may be inscribed on one of the faces of a set of flash cards which are then shuffled, dealt to each of the contestants and concealed. Then the dealt cards are revealed for the first time interval and following a delay or immediately thereafter the contestants are directed to list correctly the symbols and their groupings during the second time interval. The number of symbols groupings correctly recalled comprises the score.
An educational card game and method for play comprises a plurality of cards with each card having a surface with indicia imprinted thereon. Each card further includes a metallic element embedded beneath the card surface The card game further includes a game board having a plurality of disk magnets mounted between opposing surfaces such that the cards may be selectably positioned on the game board to display a desired sequence of the indicia. The disk magnets are configured such that an imprecisely positioned card will be magnetically drawn to a predetermined position on the game board by the magnetic attraction between a respective magnet and metallic element.
