The invention is directed to an ingress/egress system for allowing ingress/egress to and from a fixed structure, such as a pier or dock, and a boat having a superstructure. The ingress/egress system includes a ramp connected to the superstructure, which ramp is movable between a first position and a second position. At least two rigid extension arms are pivotally connected to the superstructure, with each extension arm including a device for connecting to the fixed structure. The extension arms together define a device for controlling movement of the boat in directions toward and away from the fixed structure.
A sea perch apparatus includes a platform configured to be located between a pair of spaced-apart sea perch support members located along a side or end of a boat. The platform is designed to be elevated so as to be in an upright position between the sea perch support members and lowered so as to be in a horizontal lower position near a waterline in which the boat is flowing when in the water. The platform serves as a guardrail between the sea perch support members, and when the platform is in the lower position, it serves as a swimming dock, tanning deck and further serves to facilitate easier embarking and disembarking to and from another boat. The platform is transformable into a seat when upright with arm rest. When upright, it is locked in place on either side of the upper side of the platform.
A combination boarding ladder and slide system includes a slide having an upper end pivotally coupled with a support structure, a lower end coupled with a ramp, and a slide bed supporting a removable boarding ladder. The boarding ladder is constructed of a flexible web with generally parallel spaced apart rungs and may be folded or rolled from the slide bed to permit use of the slide. The ramp is equipped with a series of generally parallel, spaced apart rungs. the angle of inclination of the boarding ladder and ramp are preselected to provide boarding access to the support structure by an animal such as a dog. A brace extends between the slide and the support structure to maintain the slide at a preselected angle of inclination. In aquatic applications, floats may be coupled with the lower end of the slide and the ramp may extend below the surface of a body of water.
A gangplank system for facilitating safe boarding and disembarking from a boat which comprises a support structure attached to a deck of the boat. A mechanism is for stabilizing the support structure in a generally vertical position from a gunwale of the boat. The support structure is sized to extend and be adjusted in height above the gunwale of the boat. Another mechanism is for pivotally connecting a first end of a ramp assembly to the support structure above the gunwale of the boat. When the ramp assembly is adjusted for height and is pivoted outwardly away from the boat to a dock, a person can safely board and disembark from the boat.
