An electrophotographic toner composition which can fix an electrostatic latent image without causing offset in the presence of a small amount of a fuser oil or in the absence of fuser oil in the heat roll fixing process. In a first embodiment, the electrophotographic toner composition comprises a binder resin, a coloring agent, a silicone oil and a silicone-modified resin. In a second embodiment, the electrophotographic toner composition is a capsule toner composition which comprises (a) a core substance containing a binder resin, a coloring agent, a silicone oil and a silicone-modified resin, and (b) a shell surrounding the core Substance. Also disclosed is a process for the preparation of the electrophotographic toner composition.
To provide a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image, which has a good low temperature fixing property whereby it is useful for an image-forming device of a low temperature heat fixing system using a heat roll having a surface temperature of at most 150.degree. C. and it does not fuse to a blade or a toner transport roller, and which is excellent in durability with little change in the image quality in a continuous copying operation.A toner for developing an electrostatic charge image, having base toner particles comprising at least a binder resin and a coloring agent, wherein the base toner particles contain an oil having a surface tension of at most 30 mN/m at 25.degree. C., and the toner has a softening point of at most 100.degree. C.
An apparatus and procedure for the separation of a fixing roller from the print material, wherein, contamination of the print machine and the print material by release oil is avoided. A toner layer is applied to the printing material and, at minimum, a release material layer is directly applied to the printing material, upstream of the fixing roller, which makes possible reliable separation of the fixing roller from the print material.
