A sneaker adapted to simulate the sight and sound of a snake is disclosed. Such sneaker comprises a sole and an upper surface, the sole having a periphery therearound with a front toe section and a rear heel end section. Further provided is an upper having a lower periphery coupled with respect to the periphery of the sole and having upwardly extending portions to generally encompass the foot and lower ankle of a wearer. An elongated tongue is coupled with respect to the upper. It also has a free upper end extending upwardly beyond the upper, the free upper end being formed in the shape of a face. An electrical system including a pair of lamps is positioned adjacent to the upper end of the tongue to simulate the eyes of a face and a battery is positioned within the sole at the toe section. Electrical lines couple the lamps and the battery with an associated pressure switch extending beneath the battery whereby walking with the sneaker will periodically provide pressure to the pressure switch to generate power from the battery to the lamps and thereby cause the lamps to turn off and on when a user walks with the sneaker.
A footwear the entire appearance simulates the appearance of a reptile preferably a chameleon reptile. The footwear can be a slipper, preferably a children's slipper, having a stuffed body adapted to simulate the appearance of //a// the chameleon reptile. The outer surface of the slipper body is covered with a green skin simulating imbricating reptile plates having an open protruding reptile mouth embracing a retractable tongue. An inner horizontal air pad sole cushions the child's foot and controls the expansion and deflating of the reptile tongue and activates a foot switch of a battery powered electric system which controls a pair of opposing reflector eye lamps.
The invention provides a slipper in combination with a hand puppet. The slipper comprises a sole and an associated upper attached to the sole and forming therewith a foot pocket having an inlet opening for reception of a persons foot. Decoration is provided on the upper representing a puppet character such as a head. Either a set of finger slots or a pocket is provided in the sole so that a person, by inserting their fingers into the slots or by insertion of their hand into the pocket, can manipulate the puppet character in the manner of a glove puppet.
A scuffing protector for shielding a standard snowboard boot from the edge of a snowboard during the ride up a chairlift is disclosed. Snowboard riders traditionally remove one of their boots from its binding for the ride up the chairlift. The free boot allows the rider to maneuver through the chairlift lines and onto the chairlift itself. The snowboard boot protector is removably attached to the dorsal surface of the free boot of a snowboarder, so when riding the chairlift, the snowboard can rest upon the boot protector without causing any damage to the free boot. The boot protector is composed of a tough plastic or rubber material that has both flexibility and durability. Additionally, the boot protector is strong enough to support the weight of the snowboard, so as to equalize the load between both legs.
A footwear with integral bubble generator comprising a bubble generator installed below a shoe insole. When the footwear wearer puts weight on the insole, the insole presses against the bubble generator, and bubbles are emitted from a bubble generator reservoir through a nozzle. The bubble generator comprises a fill aperture sealed with a removable fill aperture cover. Bubble solution may be poured into (or out of) the bubble generator reservoir through the fill aperture. The bubble generator may optionally comprise a one-way air valve and/or a one-way nozzle valve. The one-way air valve closes during a compression step, thus forcing bubble solution fluid to exit through the nozzle, and allows air to enter the bubble generator reservoir during an expansion step. The nozzle valve prevents air from entering the bubble generator reservoir during the expansion step. The bubble generator emits bubbles through the nozzle when the wearer of the footwear exerts pressure on the bubble generator by means of the footwear insole, as when walking, jogging, running, dancing, etc.
An article of footwear includes an electrical circuit having a battery, one or more integrated circuits connected to an array of LEDs and to a loudspeaker, and, a number of switches which are operative to activate the integrated circuit(s) in response to motion of the footwear and/or the application of a magnetic field from a permanent magnet located externally of the article of footwear.
