Abstract
A chemiluminscent coaster includes a coaster combined with a luminous filler or light source, structured as a shell containing reagents for inducing chemiluminescence. At least one surface of the coaster is light transmissive, being wholly or partially transparent or translucent. A single-use chemiluminescent coaster may use light sources in which the reaction takes place extemporaneously at the time of use, or may include light sources wherein pre-mixed reagents are kept at -40.degree. C. in order to prevent any chemiluminescent reaction. Reusable chemiluminscent coasters preferably use extemporaneously chemiluminescent sources. The coaster is structured to permit expansion due to gaseous discharge during the chemiluminescent reaction. A surface thereof may include an opening to permit dilation of the shell, or may be made at least partially of a supple, expandable, material. In the latter case, a raised edge may be provided at the periphery of a supple bottom surface, to permit the coaster to rest flatly on the raised edge whether or not the surface is expanded.

6082866 - Illuminated coaster

An illuminating coaster assembly for removable attachment to an essentially flat bottomed, transparent beverage container to highlight a selected drink, particularly for use in a dark room or bar. The assembly comprises a generally circular housing having an opaque bottom wall, an opaque peripheral side wall, and an essentially planar, light transmitting top wall. The light transmitting top wall concentrically mounts an opaque center member spaced inwardly from the peripheral side wall, and an adhesive layer overlying at least a portion of the center member for removably securing the coaster assembly to the beverage container. To effect illumination of the assembly, the housing contains a chemical illuminating material that is activated by mixing through vigorous shaking.

5931383 - Self-illuminated drinking straw - Owned by Omniglow Corp.

The instant invention provides for illuminated drinking straws which employ chemiluminescent mixtures as lighting sources. The illuminated drinking straw may be used with either hot or cold beverage such as water, fruit juices, soft drinks, coffees and teas, milk products or alcoholic beverages. A new and exciting drinking straw for amusement purposes is intended.

6874906 - Chemiluminescent lid for cup

A generally cylindrical lid fabricated of a translucent material has a top portion having a hollow chamber with a rigid lower wall and an upper wall being formed of a relatively flexible material and a peripheral lower lip portion having a curved central recess. A first chemiluminescent liquid is located in the hollow chamber. An ampule, located within the curved recess of the lower wall of the hollow chamber, is adapted to be broken by a user upon compression of the flexible material. A second chemical luminescent liquid, located within the ampule, is adapted to intermix with the first liquid and fill the hollow chamber.

6796670 - Sleeve media holder - Owned by Winters; Gregory Edward (Ridgecrest, CA)

Chemiluminescent devices are attached to water bottles or similar drinkwear containers by a variety of holders to decoratively illuminate the contents of the container. A thin elongated chemiluminescent charge container is wound within the holder and supported there so that substantially the entire periphery of the drinkwear container is illuminated. The holders are reusable and useful with a variety of conventional drinkwear articles.

6695272 - Drink coaster and air freshener

The invention is a disk-shaped combination drink coaster and air freshener for a drink holder. The top layer absorbs condensation or liquid spills from a drink container. The disk may have a layer impregnated with an air freshener, which will gradually be released into the vehicle or room. The disk has a plurality of layers designed to absorb liquid spills and prevent liquid spills and the air freshener material from leaving deposits on the bottom of the drink holder. The device may be imprinted with advertising names or symbols. The device has perforations to facilitate tearing off part of the circumference of the disk to reduce its diameter. The disk can also be used in combination with a coaster holder impregnated with air freshener, the weight of which prevents the coaster and air freshener from sticking to the bottom of a liquid container when the container is lifted.
