A handling aid for lifting and transporting loads is provided having a handle (1) and a bracket (2) with longitudinal slots (13; 14) into which interchangeable securing or lifting elements (16, 27) can be readily and quickly inserted. The bracket can be formed from two halves extending from the vertex of the bracket to opposed ends of the handle, and each of the two bracket halves can be provided with at least one introduction opening and a corresponding longitudinal slot. The retaining or lifting elements can be sling chains, hooks, and gripping tools.
A game carrying device for carrying game animals, especially through rough terrain such as woods or fields. The device includes a handle member with proximal and distal ends, a central opening therethrough. The proximal end of the handle member and the central opening define therebetween a gripping portion on the handle member designed for grasping by a hand of a user. The handle member has a bore therethrough extending between the distal end of the handle member and the central opening. A first end of an elongate flexible member is coupled to the distal end of the handle member. A second end of the flexible member is extended through the bore of the handle member from the distal end of the handle and into the central opening such that the flexible member forms a loop outwardly extending from the distal end of the handle member. The loop of the flexible member is designed for extending a limb of a game animal therethrough.
An apparatus for lifting and transporting large containers capable of lifting and transporting large containers being arranged proximate each other to define a space comprises a body portion capable of being manipulated for lifting; and a plurality of flexible strands, each strand for engaging a respective large container and extending from the body portion in a common direction and each strand having an end portion including an engaging device for engaging a receiving portion of a corresponding large container, wherein each of the large containers are arranged such that each receiving portion faces the space, and the lifting and transporting of the large containers is directed from above the space.
A simple, inexpensive, portable carrying device for easing the manual carrying of containers with handles, such as full, plastic, grocery bags, is provided. The device comprises: (a) an upper grip portion comprising a grip which is adapted to be gripped in a person's hand, and a central, downwardly extending stub rod; and (b) a lower handle engagement portion comprising an upright central rod stem, and between one and ten hooks. The hooks depend from the upright central rod stem and are adapted to engage the handles of the portable containers. The upper grip portion is secured to the lower handle engagement portion by means of a joint such that the lower handle engagement portion can be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise while the upper grip portion remains stationary.
A device for carrying or dragging various objects, such as animals, has a triangular-shaped handle with an eye formed proximate the object for receiving a rope to be connected to the object. The load associated with the object is concentrated at the eye of the handle.
