Abstract
Apparatus for guiding a simulated golf swing consists of a golf club handle fixed at one end of a mechanical linkage whose other end can be fixed to a wall. The handle is fixed, so as to be rotatable about its own axis, to a crank of the linkage. The crank is connected in turn to an elongate arm pivoted at the fixing location so as to guide a swing in a basic arc. A central pivot of the crank permits the user's wrists to flex during the swing. The handle carries a projecting pointer which moves over an index plate fixed to the adjacent connector on the crank. The index plate has stop lugs to limit the rotation of the handle by abutting the turning pointer. A scale on the index plate enables a suitable address position to be selected. By thus controlling and indicating the handle's rotation it becomes possible to school the user's hand movements and thereby improve the alignment of the club face during the swing. (FIGS. 1 and 5)

6913543 - Golf swing conditioner

The present invention is a piece of exercise equipment designed to train and condition sport-specific muscle groups used during a swinging motion, as in golf. It is comprised of a mechanical linkage, with at least six free-moving joints, so that it effectively simulates a wide variety of golf swings without the need for complex adjustments and provides for smooth and even distribution of resistance to the various muscle groups involved in the swinging motion. It includes a resistance mechanism, such as a pulley system linked to two one-way hydraulic cylinders. This allows a user to simultaneously practice swing form and technique while also strengthening and conditioning the specific muscles needed for the sport.

6398663 - Golf position and parallel indicating device for the top of backswing

The present invention 10 discloses a golf club 12 having a canister-like housing 46 attached thereto. The housing 46 contains a group of mercury switches 58, 59 mounted internally on a pair of rotatable platforms 46 between two discs 60 which discs are connected to a rotational dial member 48 having a scale of degrees 52 displayed thereon. The rotational dial member 48 functions with a number of fixedly connected elements in concert with the mercury switches 58, 59 to selectively actuate a plurality of LED's 16 which LED's indicate the physical relationship of the golf club 12 with a fixed object, e.g., the ground, so that the golfer 18 can practice his/her golf swing.

7364512 - Golf swing trainer - Owned by Graedener; Alina (Berlin,DE) Rokeach; Leo (Berlin,DE)

The invention pertains to a golf swing trainer with a base (70) and a plurality of elongated elements (S1 to S6), each of which comprises a near end (103) and a distant end (102). Moreover, a plurality of first motion devices (48, 80) is provided, each connected to the near end (103) of one of the plurality of elongated elements (S1 to S6) and designed to move, in each case, one of the plurality of elongated Elements (S1 to S6) relative to base (70). The distant ends (102) of the elongated elements (S1 to S6) are movably connected to a platform (8). The golf swing trainer may be connected to a golf club (7) and/or a golfer via a connector device (10), such that a motion of the elongated elements (S1 to S6) is capable of effecting a motion of the golf club (7) and/or of the golfer.
