Abstract
Disclosed is an energy measurement and verification system and method which provides real time documentation of both baseline and post-retrofit energy consumption. Actual energy savings are calculated with a unique combination of computer hardware, energy and data translation software, measurement protocols, and digital remote sensing equipment which monitor the energy consumption of the retrofit environment and a sample baseline environment.

6478233 - Thermal comfort controller having an integral energy savings estimator - Owned by Honeywell International Inc. (Morristown, NJ)

A thermal comfort controller using various recovery methods to change the indoor temperature to meet set points in a setup/setback schedule to maintain thermal comfort for occupants of an enclosure. The thermal comfort controller further comprising an apparatus to determine the expected energy savings when modifying the setup/setback schedule for the enclosure in which the temperature controller is used. The energy savings information may be displayed to the enclosure occupant for further consideration.

7076339 - Energy-saving service offering method and apparatus therefor - Owned by Hitachi, Ltd. (Tokyo,JP)

An energy saving support service offering method introducing energy saving equipment at least in a load facility with an expense of an energy saving support service provider and/or its cooperatives and performing an electric power saving operation by an energy saving equipment control operation.

6643567 - Energy consumption estimation using real time pricing information - Owned by Carrier Corporation (Syracuse, NY)

A system for estimating energy cost savings during curtailment periods, for example, determines an estimated temperature in the zone during the period of interest as if the thermostat were set at a temperature different than the actual set point temperature. By determining a difference in the estimated temperature in the zone and the actual temperature over time, the amount of energy savings can be estimated. Applying real time energy cost data to the estimated energy savings provides a real time estimation of actual cost savings during a selected period. The inventive estimation technique includes determining an equilibrium condition for the zone as part of the estimation process.

6480803 - Load shedding thermostat - Owned by Carrier Corporation (Farmington, CT)

A method of load shedding wherein a series of load shedding thermostats are mounted in building serviced by a utility. Each thermostat contains an addressable processor arranged to receive different code inputs form the utility. Heat loss and load characteristics for buildings are calculated from measured indoor and outdoor temperature movements along with the equipment's duty cycle for a given period of time and the required setback temperature for a given coded input is set into the thermostat based upon heat loss and load characteristics of the building.

6785620 - Energy efficiency measuring system and reporting methods - Owned by Weatherwise USA, LLC (Pittsburgh, PA)

A method of providing energy efficiency changes to a plurality of energy consumers. The method includes calculating the energy efficiency changes for the consumers based on energy consumption histories and weather data, wherein the energy efficiency changes are calculated using individual data for each of the consumers. The method also includes reporting the energy efficiency changes to each of the consumers.
