Abstract
A swing with a pivotably attached tray for pivotable movement about a generally vertical axis, a vibrating mechanism attachable to a seat bottom of the swing, wheels mounted on a frame for selective engagement with the floor when the frame is tilted back when grasping a pair of handles on the frame, a lost motion coupling mechanism for a motorized drive mechanism, and a reclinable seat with an adjustment wire for selecting different reclined positions.

6339304 - Swing control for altering power to drive motor after each swing cycle - Owned by Graco Children's Products Inc. (Elverson, PA)

A control (200) for an infant and child swing (40) driven by a direct current motor (160) includes a user interface (312) for selecting from a plurality of swing heights (or amplitudes), a microcontroller (400) having a processor (401), a swing angle indicator (118) having a light interrupter detector (210), and a music system (410). Processor (401) receives an output signal from light interrupter detector (210) for monitoring the current swing amplitude. At the end of each swing cycle processor (401) compares the current swing amplitude with the user selected maximum swing amplitude, and, if not substantially equal, generates a control signal to adjust the power output from motor (160) so that the current swing amplitude substantially equals the user selected maximum swing amplitude. This cycle-by-cycle adjustment produces a swing arc having improved accuracy and consistency. Processor (401) also ends operation of motor (160) after an optional, user preselected, fixed time period, and facilitates maintenance and repair by displaying the status of light interrupter detector (210) upon selected actuation of user interface (312).

6010410 - Open top swing assembly - Owned by Kolcraft Enterprises (Chicago, IL)

An open top swing which includes a frame and mounting housings. A swing assembly depends from the pivot pins and includes a pair of spaced legs to which a swing is releasably attached for moving the swing closer to or away from the pivot pins to permit a change in the swing speed and the distance of the arcuate path that the swing will travel.

6319138 - Open top infant swing - Owned by Evenflo Company, Inc. (Vandalia, OH)

The present invention is an electrically driven open top infant swing comprising a crossbar that does not extend directly over the top of the infant swing. Thus, as opposed to other prior art swing designs utilizing crossbars, the crossbar of the present invention provides excellent stability and rigidity to the swing described and claimed herein while still allowing relatively easy access to an infant seated in the swing seat. Additionally, the present invention provides an infant swing that is coupled to an electric drive motor by a "moving pivot" thereby allowing the swing to pivot independently of the drive motor and thus avoiding undue strain on the swing motor and gearing.

6875117 - Swing drive mechanism - Owned by Graco Children's Products Inc. (Exton, PA)

A swing drive mechanism for a swing having a swing seat, at least one hanger arm supporting the swing seat, and a pivot shaft providing reciprocal motion to the swing seat via the at least one hanger arm is described. The drive mechanism may include a gear, an eccentric element coupled to the gear and a motor mechanism configured to drive the gear. The drive mechanism may also include a substantially elongated drive link having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end coupled to the gear via the eccentric element, and a spring coupled to, and configured to being driven by, the distal end of the drive link. The spring being configured to directly drive the pivot shaft in a reciprocal fashion. A swing drive assembly including a blade and pivot shaft is also described.

7546652 - Colic swing

A standard child swing apparatus with a holder for supporting a baby on its abdomen. A vibration unit is also included within the holder.
