Abstract
A portable parts washer flows a washing agent over an object to remove any contaminants. The washing agent and contaminants flow into a basin mounted below the object. The washing agent is drawn from the basin and used to wash the object to provide a closed-loop system. A venturi-type injector mixes ozone from an ozone generator with the washing agent. A pump draws the washing agent from a first inlet to the basin, forces the washing agent through the injector, and returns the washing agent through a first outlet to the basin.

6655396 - Closed loop pressure washer system with hydro-dynamic continuous flush washing assembly

A closed loop pressure washing system including a pressure washer device for pressure washing an object having a contaminant, and for recovering the the contaminant. The pressure washing system includes a supporting mechanism arranged to support the object while a washing fluid is flowed over the object to remove the contaminant. A collection arrangement is included at least partially located below the supporting mechanism. The collection arrangement is further arranged to receive raw run-off fluid from the support mechanism. A flush assembly is arranged to at least periodically impinge rinsing fluid onto the supporting mechanism to hydro-dynamically sweep the contaminants collecting on the support mechanism into the collection system.

6247480 - Pressure washer containment assembly and method with a passive skimmer - Owned by EZ Environmental Solutions Corporation (Menlo Park, CA)

A containment assembly for use with a pressure washing apparatus to contain and collect the relatively light weight contaminants from run-off of a washing fluid after being flowed over an object to be cleaned. The containment assembly includes a settling compartment for collection of the run-off washing fluid therein, and a containment compartment in gravity flow fluid communication with a surface of the collected washing fluid in the settling compartment. As the lightweight contaminants at the surface of the washing fluids gravity flow into the containment compartment, they are contained and collected therein. A fluid extraction assembly is in fluid communication with the contained washing fluid in the containment compartment through an opening therein vertically disposed below a predetermined operational fluid level of the contained washing fluid. The extraction assembly is adapted to extraction the contained washing fluid through the opening in a manner maintaining the gravity flow of the collected washing fluid into the containment compartment.

6164298 - Modular cleaning facility

A modular cleaning system is provided generally comprising at least one modular wash rack having a drainage fitting and a coupling means to allow one modular wash rack to be fastened to another modular wash rack, a tube connected to the drainage fitting, and a filtering system generally comprising a vacuum pump for pumping a liquid through the tube from the drainage fitting to the filtering system, and at least one filter, the filter being operably associated with the vacuum pump. Also provided is a method for recycling a liquid waste product including the steps of washing an item with a liquid using a nozzle to spray the item, providing at least one wash rack for the waste product to drip into, pumping the waste product from the wash rack to a filtering system, skimming oil from the waste product, forcing the waste product through a weir system to eliminate large particles, filtering the waste product to provide a recycled liquid, and using a pressure washer to return the recycled liquid to the nozzle for further washing.

6799591 - Wash fluid containment system - Owned by Hydro Engineering, Inc. (Salt Lake City, UT)

A wash fluid containment system includes an elevated, fluid impervious surface upon which items to be washed are placed for washing. The surface is configured to cause wash fluid to flow to an edge of the surface and off of the surface to prevent buildup of wash fluid on the surface. A collecting trough is positioned in fluid flow communication with the edges of the surface to which the fluid flows to catch and collect the fluid as it flows from the surface. Used wash fluid is taken from the collecting trough for disposal or recycling and solids and debris can be easily removed from the trough.

5976268 - Method and apparatus for pressure washing - Owned by EZ Environmental Solutions Corporation (Menlo Park, CA)

The present invention relates to methods and apparatus for removing a contaminant from an object. According to one aspect, an apparatus for washing an object which has contaminant is arranged to recover the contaminant. The apparatus includes a support floor that supports an object to be washed and a basin mounted below the support floor. The basin is divided into a plurality of chambers which include a clean water chamber, a secondary water chamber, an oil containment chamber, and a contaminated water receiving chamber which receives water which is contaminated after it is flowed over the object to remove the contaminant. The contaminated water received in the contaminated water receiving chamber must pass sequentially through the oil containment chamber and the secondary water chamber prior to entering the clean water chamber. The clean water chamber is flowably coupled to the secondary water chamber by a first flowpath near the operational water level, while the secondary water chamber is flowably coupled to the oil containment chamber by a second flowpath near the bottom of the basin. The oil containment chamber is flowably coupled to the contaminated water receiving chamber by a third flowpath near the operational water level. The apparatus also includes a first pump which draws and filters water from the secondary water chamber and returns the filtered water to the clean water chamber.
