A water bag for a water bed, including a hollow shell dividing into two inflating chambers at two oposite ends and a plurality of transverse water chambers between the inflating chambers, and a plurality of air bags longitudinally mounted in the transverse water chambers in parallel and respectively connected between the inflating chambers.
A waterbed system is provided. The waterbed system comprises a water fillable bed mattress, a plurality of transverse partitions, an air bag unit, and a bed protecting cover. The plurality of transverse partitions serve to dissipate the water disturbances caused by the weight and movement of a user, and enhance the stability and structural integrity of the mattress when filled with water. Those portions of the water fillable bed mattress at which components are joined are thus subjected to less pressure and stress and, consequently, the threat of water leakage is minimized. In certain embodiments, at least one longitudinal partition is also disposed within the water fillable mattress to isolate water disturbances in one set of transverse partitions from propagating to another set of transverse partitions, if any. The longitudinal partition is formed with water openings spaced in offset manner. The air bag unit is adapted to receive pressurized air whereby the firmness of the water fillable bed mattress may be adjusted.
A waterbed having inside air cushion and method of manufacturing same is disclosed. The method comprises forming a watertight bladder having valve means thereon, forming an inflatable air cushion inside the watertight bladder, forming at least one air valve extended from the air cushion through the watertight bladder and secured thereat, inflating the air cushion, filling water into the watertight bladder, and drawing air out of the watertight bladder until the amount of air in a predetermined space of the watertight bladder is substantially reduced to less than 20% by volume, and a water screen is thus formed around the air cushion due to siphonage. The invention can provide an increased degree of softness to the skin of a user, suitably taking away heat from the body of the user, and making muscles supple when the user rolls thereon due to the compressibility of the air cushion.
A water bed structure includes water containing bodies, a concave bed body, air protection borders and a bed housing, wherein the water containing bodies are installed in accommodating chambers formed by the concave bed body and the air protection borders, and are placed into the bed housing. The concave bed body has each of four sides thereof provided with at least two openings for installing four unfilled air protection borders through the openings. The four air protection borders are provided with air inlet plugs that are located at the openings at the four sides of the four air protection borders. The assembled air protection borders and the concave bed of the water containing beds are placed into an inverted U-shape bed housing in an upward direction, such that the openings of the concave bed body and the air inlet plugs of the air protection borders are concealed.
