Abstract
In order to eliminate the difficulty in properly shaping the corner of a panel body where the edge portions thereof meet perpendicularly to each other and beautifully finishing the curled portions of a cladding sheet which covers the panel body, the panel 2 comprises a panel body 3 made of sheet metal by plastic deformation of the edge portions of the sheet metal, and a cladding sheet 4 arranged to cover the panel body, with a cutout 35, 36 formed at each corner of the panel body, and a corner member 5, 6 made of resin is attached to each corner, so that the curved surface 54, 64 formed on the corner member 5, 6 when it was molded makes the curved surface 32c, 33c smoothly continuous to 34c.

6951592 - Method of forming a fabric covered pad for wall panel - Owned by Haworth, Inc. (Holland, MI)

Cover pads for use on upright walls, wherein the pad provides an improved internal support which is of simplified construction, for example the center support and the surrounding frame being made of a one-piece monolithic support structure which permits a flexible covering or fabric to be attached to the center support and the exterior side surfaces of the edge frame while the fabric and support structure are in a flat and planar condition, following which the edge frame is folded and secured into position around the center support. The internal support structure for the pad, when in a flat condition, has voids at the corners so that the fabric can be easily tucked into the corners prior to the edge frame being folded into its closing or frame-defining position.

6722096 - Frame assembly and frame component for tensioning fabric about a panel of a partition system - Owned by Quanex Corporation (Houston, TX)

A frame for a partition system and a component of the frame are disclosed. The component automatically and evenly tensions a fabric about a partition panel. The component of the frame includes a support element and a lockable element. The support element defines a cavity that receives and supports the panel. The lockable element extends from the support element and supports the fabric that is to be tensioned about the panel. Also, the lockable element is moveable relative to the support element. The component further includes an integral hinge between the support element and the lockable element. The integral hinge enables the movement of the lockable element relative to the support element. As a result, the fabric supported on the lockable element is automatically and evenly tensioned about the panel upon the movement of the lockable element. The component also includes a backing strip to protect the fabric from the integral hinge.

6393782 - Stackable wall panel system - Owned by Herman Miller, Inc. (Zeeland, MI)

A stackable wall panel system including at least one upper and lower wall panel and a first and second post. The second post is disposed on the first post. One or more upper wall panels are connected to a pair of lower wall panels having a rail with a pair of draw blocks and a draw rod.

6295764 - Stackable wall panel system - Owned by Herman Miller, Inc. (Zeeland, MI)

A stackable wall panel system including at least one upper and lower wall panel, a first and second corner post and an insert. The insert threadably engages an upper portion of the first corner post, and the second corner post is disposed on the first corner post over the insert. A connector connects the second corner post and the insert. One or more upper wall panels are connected to a pair of lower wall panels with an alignment clip, a pair of draw blocks and a draw rod.

6223485 - Wall panel system - Owned by Herman Miller, Inc. (Zeeland, MI)

A wall panel including a rectangular frame, a pair of wall members and a thin decorative sheet covering the wall members. The frame includes two spaced apart, generally parallel vertical frame members and spaced apart, generally parallel horizontal lower and upper frame members. The horizontal frame members are connected to the vertical frame members at opposite ends thereof to form the rectangular frame. In one embodiment, each of the frame members includes a core member and a pair of sidewall members attached to opposite sides of the core member. The wall members are attached to the sidewalls on opposing sides of the frame members. In another embodiment, inner wall members are attached to the opposing sides of the frame members, and outer wall members are thereafter attached to the inner wall member. A decorative sheet covers the outer surface of each outer wall member. The wall panels are connected to each other with a connector member. Light seal members are disposed on one of the wall panel or connector member to span at least a portion of a gap formed between at least a portion of the connected wall panels. Upper wall panels can also be mounted to various configurations of lower wall panels using a variety of connector members. Locator members and openings are provided to locate a wall member on a core assembly. An apparatus and method for positioning the locator members and openings is also provided.
