A golf swing training device comprises a swing guide, a base structure adapted to lie on a generally horizontal surface and a framework on the base structure for supporting the swing guide in position above the base structure in a plane at a selected angle to the horizontal surface. The swing guide has a lower portion in front of the golfer at a relatively low elevation with respect to the surface and an upper portion in back of the golfer at a relatively high elevation with respect to the surface. The framework comprises a forward ring member support on the base structure supporting the lower portion of the swing guide and permitting variation of the angle of the plane of the swing guide, and a rearward articulated prop for propping up the upper portion of the swing guide. The rearward articulated prop is pivoted at one end thereof constituting its lower end on the base structure for angular adjustment about a generally horizontal axis extending transversely with respect to the base structure generally adjacent the surface and pivotally connected at the other end thereof constituting its upper end to the upper portion of the swing guide. Articulation of the prop enables adjustment of the elevation of the upper portion of the swing guide and the angle of the plane of the swing guide.
A golf swing guide for aiding a golfer in correcting flaws in swinging a golf club. The golf swing guide includes a base, a guide track defining a swing path along which the golfer is to swing the golf club and a device for pivotally connecting the guide track to the base for adjusting the guide track to a size of the golfer. A device for retaining the back of the golfer in a proper position with respect to the guide track is positioned to extend along a small of the back of the golfer whereby the golfer is positioned within the base with the torso extending through the guide track during swinging of the golf club. The device for pivotally connecting includes a first pivotal support pole connected between a front of the base and the guide track and a second support bar pivotally connected to a back of the base and the guide track. When the first pivotal support pole is pivoted, the second support pole pivots about the back of the base causing an angle of extension of the guide track to change. A device for aligning the legs of the golfer within the base is connected between the left and right side of the base and is movable along a length of the base. A weight shift indicator is pivotally attached to the base for use in observing the weight shift of the golfer during a swing.
A golf swing teaching device to assist a golfer in improving his or her golf swing. The teaching device includes a frame which supports a guide shaft which is formed in the shape of an arc. A golf club is affixed at its butt end to the guide shaft. It is affixed to the guide shaft so that it may slide along the guide shaft. In this way, the golfer may swing the club and be assisted to move the butt end of the golf club in an arcuate path.
A golf training device includes an arcuate track and a support frame for supporting the arcuate track at an angle on a surface to facilitate the training of the ball-hitting posture of a golfer.
A golf training aid includes a circular hoop that is inclined or inclinable in use at an angle to the horizontal. A planar surface is defined extending outwardly from a surface of an upper end of the hoop and parallel to the plane of the hoop. The golf training aid can be used in combination with a club and can assist a golfer in developing an improved swing.
A golf swing training apparatus is provided. The golf swing training apparatus is adapted to be folded in a collapsed state to facilitate quick and easy transportation and storage. The golf swing training apparatus has a main frame assembly defining a pair of A-frames joined by a pair of cross members. Each A-frame includes a spar being telescopically adjustable. A plurality of adjustable feet are provided to level the apparatus when placed atop uneven surfaces. A guide ring is hingedly attached to the pair of A-frames and is adapted to be angularly and vertically adjusted. The guide ring is further provided with multi-colored bands and indicia to serve as visual references when practicing particular golf strokes.
