An animated figure method and apparatus including an animated figure having moveable elements and a base unit for supporting the animated figure. The apparatus of the present invention includes multiple control cables, a first end of each control cable connects to a cable driver assembly or cable driver mounted on the base unit and a second end of each control cable attaches to a corresponding animated figure moveable element or assembly. The cable drivers that are attached to the base unit drive the control cables, and propel the animated figure's moveable elements. The present invention achieves detailed control of many animated figure functions using intricate control cable branching which may require many bends in the control cable. In addition, a walk mechanism provides both horizontal and vertical movement of the animated figure's feet to achieve simulated stepping movements in a very realistic manner. Further, the walk mechanism in combination with a motion base allows the animated figure of the preferred embodiment to move about a set, such as a stage, by dancing, walking, running or other movements, thereby increasing the overall animation presentation significantly.
The invention relates to a movable Christmas tree moving mechanism, particularly to one comprising a foundation, a connecting rod set, a U-shaped support, a cover plate, a mouth movement and an eye movement, whereby the coordination of an overlapped round cam on the foundation, and a short rod, low rod and a high rod in the connecting rod set, along with the configuration of a moving block of a U-shaped support, a mouth movement and an eye movement enables the movement of the jaw, eyes and head on a toy face.
A toy with a moving head has a seat, a front and a rear support respectively mounted on the seat, and a gear box provided between the front and rear supports. A series of gears and a series of actuating wheels are rotatably mounted in the gearbox. A first motor is connected to the gearbox and a head is connected to the gearbox. When the motor drives the gearbox, the head is raised and lowered by a set of actuating wheels and the head is shaken by a second set of actuating wheels. The jaw of the head also opens and closes to present a dynamic effect to attract people.
A display system is disclosed which includes a base structure having a display surface, the display surface of the base structure having artwork provided thereon, at least one inanimate structural component having a display surface, the display surface of the at least one inanimate structural component having artwork provided thereon, the inanimate structural component mounted with respect to the display surface of the base structure in a predetermined orientation so as to achieve a desired artistic presentation, at least one animated structural component structural component having a display surface, the display surface of the at least one animated structural component having artwork provided thereon, the at least one animated structural component mounted for movement with respect to the base structure and the at least one inanimate structural component, a mechanical linkage assembly mounted to the base structure and connected the animated structural component to facilitate the relative motion thereof with respect to the composite structure and the at least one inanimate structural component, and a motor operatively associated with the mechanical linkage assembly for imparting motion to the animated structural component.
The present invention consists of an illuminated, musical display box having removable character elements mounted on pins and a removable scenic background, which character elements are capable of moving in a pleasing fashion about the rear wall of the device and/or on a lower platform of the device.
