Abstract
A foldable goal net support includes a first side section, a second side section, a front section, and a rear section. The front section includes a first front member, a second front member, and a front spacer member disposed between the first front member and the second front member. The rear section includes a first rear member, a second rear member, and a rear spacer member disposed between the first rear member and the second rear member. The front section and the rear section are hinged for pivotal movement about a substantially vertical axis to the first side section and the second side section. A brace member extends between the front section and the rear section to rigidly support the structure.

6652395 - Collapsible sports goal assembly - Owned by Goldwitz; Tracy (Orange, CT)

A collapsible sports goal assembly movable between an open position and a closed position has a base frame, a front frame, and a top frame, and one or more connecting leg assemblies to provide support for the goal assembly. The base frame, the front frame, and the top frame respectively include a first leg, a second leg laterally spaced relative to the first leg and oriented approximately parallel thereto, and a third leg extending between the first and second legs. The first leg of the front frame is pivotally connected to the first leg of the base frame, and the second leg of the front frame is pivotally connected to the second leg of the base frame thereby pivotally connecting the front frame to the base frame. The first and second legs of the top frame are pivotally connected to the third leg of the front frame to thereby pivotally connect the top frame to the front frame. A connecting leg assembly is pivotally connected at one end to the base frame and pivotally connected at another end to one of the front frame and top frame, and includes a male leg slidably received within a female leg. In the open position, the base frame and front frame are oriented approximately perpendicular to each other, and the top frame extends laterally and rearwardly from the front frame and is spaced above the base frame. The connecting leg assembly extends upwardly and forwardly from the base frame and is pivotally connected to either the top frame or the front frame. A releasable locking member is located in the locked position to thereby fixedly secure the position of the male leg relative to the female leg and, in turn, fixedly secure the base frame, front frame and top frame in the open position.

7371195 - Collapsible sports goal

A collapsible sports goal comprising goal posts, supporting members, and a folding means for selective pivoting of the supporting members between an erect configuration and a collapsed configuration without disassembly. Each goal post has a base portion. An upper supporting member includes a crossbar engaging the goal posts. A lower supporting member includes left and right support bars and a rear interposed member engaged therebetween. Forward portions of the support bars securely and pivotably engage the goal posts adjacent to the base portion. The folding means engages the upper and lower supporting members in secure pivotable relation. In the erect configuration, the support bars extend rearwardly and normal to the goal posts, and the folding means extends vertically. In the collapsed configuration, the support bars extend parallel to the goal posts in a vertical direction.

6402643 - Folding soccer goal

A folding soccer goal, consisting of a goalpost, backstay bars, and a net, wherein the goalpost has a horizontal crossbar and two vertical posts foldably attached to the crossbar; the backstay bars foldably attach to the goalpost and extend outward and downward therefrom; a hinged foot assembly is connected to the bottom of each vertical post wherein the foot is adapted for attachment to a playing surface; also disclosed is a method for erecting a soccer goal including the steps of laying the goal on the playing surface, positioning the feet against the playing surface, attaching the feet to the playing surface, raising the posts about the hinges to a substantially vertical position over the feet, and securing the posts in a substantially vertical position.

7125351 - Portable, Foldable goal assembly

A portable goal assembly that folds in two dimensions is disclosed. The goal assembly includes tubular members, most of which are connected by hinges to facilitate movement between expanded and collapsed configurations. The hinges may be of the releasable lockable sleeve type to provide bracing when the goal assembly is in its expanded configuration. The goal assembly includes a pair of U-shaped, open-ended frames pivoted together by hinges at their open ends and also connected by two diagonal braces mounted to the frame by rotating tee fittings. The diagonal braces fold on hinges when the frames are pivoted substantially parallel to each other to make the goal assembly nearly flat. The center members of each frame also fold on hinges to reduce the size of the goal still further. Once folded for transport or storage, the goal assembly may be carried by a shoulder strap.
