A cosmetic composition for the first stage of an operation for the permanent reshaping of keratinous material, in particular the hair, which consists in reducing the disulphide bonds of keratin, characterized in that it comprises at least one active agent suitable for the reduction of the disulphide bonds of keratin, at least one basifying agent chosen from ornithine, a salt of ornithine, lysine, a salt of lysine, arginine, and a salt of arginine, and at least one cationic polymer containing primary, secondary or tertiary amine groups or quaternary ammonium groups in the main chain. A process for the treatment of keratinous material, in particular the hair, for the purpose of obtaining a permanent reshaping of the latter, in particular in the form of permanent-waved hair, the said process being characterized in that it includes the following steps: (i) a composition as defined above is applied to the keratinous material to be treated, the means (rollers) necessary for placing the keratinous material under mechanical tension being implemented before, during or after the said application, (ii) the keratinous material thus treated is then rinsed, (iii) an oxidizing composition is applied to the keratinous material thus rinsed, the treated keratinous material being separated from the means for placing under tension used in step (i) before or after the said application of the oxidizing composition, (iv) and, lastly, the keratinous material is rinsed again.
The present invention relates to the use of a cosmetic composition containing compounds derived from polyguanidines or physiologically acceptable salts thereof for the protection of keratin fibres during permanent-shaping treatments or hair-straightening operations. The invention also relates to a cosmetic treatment process for permanently shaping or straightening keratin fibres, such that it consists in applying to these fibres a composition containing a compound derived from polyguanidines.
A process for permanently modifying the shape of hair by wrapping hair in multilayered, deformable sheets of material comprising a first layer of a perforated, deformable, and semi-rigid material, and a second layer of material containing a thiol reducing composition in an amount effective for permanently modifying the shape of hair, wherein the first layer is placed on or attached to the second layer; providing a desired shape to the multilayered, deformable sheet of material which is wrapped around the hair; and applying an oxidizing composition comprising an oxidizing agent capable of reconstituting the disulfide bonds of the hair, wherein the oxidizing composition is applied either before or after liberating the hair from the multilayered, deformable sheet of material. In another variation, the hair is pre-treated with the reducing composition and then wrapped in a single deformable sheet for shaping. Multicomponent kits for use in the processes of the invention.
The invention concerns an oxidation dyeing composition for keratinous fibres, in particular for human keratinous fibres and more particularly hair, comprising, in a medium suited for dyeing, at least an oxidation dyeing agent, and also at least an amphiphilic polymer including at least an ethylenically unsaturated monomer with a sulphonic group, in free form or partly or completely neutralised and further at least a hydrophobic part. The invention also concerns dyeing methods and devices using said composition.
Detergent and conditioning compositions comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, (A) a washing base comprising at least one anionic surfactant and at least one amphoteric surfactant and (B) at least one aminated silicone having an amine number greater than or equal to 0.4 meq/g, the amphoteric surfactant/anionic surfactant ratio by weight being greater than or equal to 0.2. The use of detergent and conditioning compositions for cleaning and for caring of the hair or the skin.
A subject-matter of the invention is a process for the permanent deformation of the hair comprising the successive application of a reducing composition and then of a neutralizing composition, at least one of these compositions comprising at least one cationic polymer, in which, before the application of the reducing composition, a third separate composition, which is distinct from the reducing and neutralizing compositions and comprises at least one anionic polymer, is applied to the hair in a preliminary way. The hair is rinsed, preferably only after having applied the (or at least one of the) composition(s) comprising the cationic polymer(s).
