An improved harness for restraining cats and small animals comfortably and safely by means of an L-shaped fabric portion (16), an upper girth strap (28) and a lower girth strap (26). The L-shaped fabric portion (16) curves gently around one side and underneath the cat's stomach thereby creating a soft but strong restraint. The collar portion (10) when adjusted properly prevents the cat from backing out of the walking jacket and thereby prevents escape.
A pet apparel in combination with a leash and a pocket for storing the leash for an animal such as a dog or a cat is disclosed. The pet apparel comprising a material blank having a central portion, a first arm and a second arm extending horizontally from the central portion and a first leg and a second leg extending angularly from the central portion. A leash having a first end is fixedly attached to the central portion of the material blank. The leash has a second free end on which a loop is formed. A means for removably attaching the material blank to the animal so that the first leg and the second leg completely encircles the neck of the animal and the first arm and the second arm completely encircles the abdomen of the animal between the front legs and the rear legs is provided. The central portion of the material blank disposed on the back of the animal such that the leash is accessible.
An animal wound wrap used for holding a primary wound dressing, an IV tube and/or drain tube in place on an animal's body. The animal wound wrap includes an elongated abdomen wrap portion and an elongated extension wrap portion. The two wrap portions are made of stretchable loop-like loose weave material along their length. The abdomen wrap portion can be stretched along a first axis while the extension wrap portion can be stretched along a second axis at an angle to the first axis. The abdomen wrap portion includes a first end portion with hook fasteners and a second end portion for releasably engaging the hook fasteners. The extension wrap portion includes a first end portion attached to a side of the abdomen wrap portion and at an angle thereto. The extension wrap also includes a "U" shaped second end portion. The "U" shaped second end portion includes a first strap and a second strap. The straps are adapted for receipt around the animal's neck, tail, leg or other parts of the animal's body. The hook fasteners are used for securing the straps thereon.
A new and improved animal garment for contacting various acupressure points of its wearer. In other aspects of the invention, there is provided a new and improved animal garment with an elastic or adjustable collar, an elastic or adjustable belly flap, an elastic or adjustable lumbar band, and means for securing the garment to the wearer.
A device and method for treating equine hernia wherein a manipulator element is held in place to exert pressure on the affected abdomen to thereby push the bowel into the abdominal cavity. Any movements made by the horse, especially as by the act of walking or exercising, cause the manipulator element to shift slightly and thereby automatically manipulate the hernial ring. Such manipulation serves to expedite the healing process often obviating the need for surgical intervention.
A harness system for interconnecting canine and human members comprising a human harness having interconnected webbing and belt members for embracing the body of a human being, a canine harness having interconnected webbing members adapted to embrace and support the body of a dog and releasable buckles, connectors and straps for interconnecting the human harness and the canine harness in a manner that juxtaposes the dog against the back of the human being for rappelling activity.
