A golf swing training aid which has a base bar to align and position a user's feet in the proper position. A pair of bars are slidably attached to the base bar which allows the user to position the ball properly between his/her feet, to position his/her feet the proper distance apart on every swing, and a vertically telescoping assembly allows the golfer to position the golf ball the proper distance away from the user's body. The pair of bars and the vertically telescoping assembly have indicia thereon viewable through apertures in the base bar so the user will know exactly where to position his/her feet and the ball as well as aligning the clubface properly to the intended target.
An aid for visual detection of a golfer's head movement, constructed of card or plastics sheet includes a black-faced sighting member that has a circular aperture there through and is hinged to a base member Adjustment of the inclination of the sighting member to the base member brings a black disc-marking line sight through the aperture. Lugs of a stay member which is hinged to the sighting member for setting the sighting-member inclination are held engaged in selected notches of the base member by a sprung-up tongue; in an alternative form of aid a stay member engages in transverse slots. Head movement is observed as apparent movement of the disc-marking within the aperture.
A golf positioning and alignment device having a housing unit, guidance strips and spring loaded wound strip dispensers. More specifically, the present invention is a golf positioning and alignment device having three independently retractable guidance strips all contained within and mounted at the apexes of a substantially triangular housing unit. Each guidance strip is capable of being manually extended to a user-specified position and selectably locked or secured therein. The guidance strips are pulled through apertures or slits in the housing unit, wherein two opposing strips are pulled perpendicular to the golfer's stance and wherein the third strip is pulled forward and secured proximal the golf ball.
A golf training apparatus to help golfers hit a golf ball more effectively and consistently. The apparatus includes a base with first markings along a first edge thereof to indicate positions for locating a golfer's feet adjacent the base, and second markings along an oppositely-disposed second edge of the base for indicating the location of a golf ball relative to the base. The apparatus further has an alignment member mounted for movement relative to the base and configured for selective alignment with any one of the second markings. A measuring member is mounted to the alignment member for measuring the distance between the base and the golf ball, and a light-generating device is mounted to the base for illuminating the golf ball.
A device for displaying indicia is constructed to fit onto a mirror housing of an exterior mirror of a motor vehicle. The device, upon installation, displays a desired indicia facing the front of the vehicle without obstructing the view of the mirrored surface facing the rear of the vehicle. Variations in structure are provided, including connectors to the mirror housing that slidably engage with respect to a base that supports the indicia. Embodiments provide for removal of the device without harm to the mirror housing, and also provide for ready change-out of indicia. Slidably engaging connectors in various embodiments provides for easy adaptation to a range of sizes and shapes of mirror housings. The invention also relates to kits and methods employing embodiments of the device.
A golf setup training device for training a golfer to take the best possible setup in relation to a ball when addressing the ball prior to hitting the ball. The device includes a pair of axially aligned foot-positioning bars and extending therefrom at right angles a ball-positioning bar that includes a fixed section and an extendable section. The extendable section is adjustably mounted to the fixed section to adjust the length of the ball-positioning bar according to the height of the golfer and/or for a chosen iron. The device may be easily partially disassembled for compact storage.
