A putting aid includes a clamp for mounting the putting aid on the shaft of a putter and a dotted line projector mounted on the clamp for adjustment relative to the contact surface of the putter so that the dotted line is projected perpendicular to the contact surface. The dotted line projector includes a bright light source, such as a laser diode, a power source and the necessary optical elements to generate and project a line of dots on the putting surface extending generally perpendicular to the putter clubface. In one embodiment, the dots are equally spaced apart so that the distance of the backswing can be gauged by observing the number of dots that pass over the surface of the ball during the backswing. In one embodiment the putting aid includes a mounting ball secured to the clamp, and the housing further includes a housing clamp adapted to be releasably secured on the mounting ball to allow simultaneous positioning of the projector about two or more axes.
An apparatus for providing a laser alignment golf training aid uses a single-pivot mounting clamp for easy installation and improved accuracy. A support bar is pivotally mounted directly to the single-pivot mounting clamp and a unitary element is used to clamp a laser aiming device to the support bar. There are no interfaces or fasteners between the support bar interface and the aiming device interface of the unitary element to further eliminate sources of inaccuracy. The device uses a hollow support bar and alloy fastening elements to reduce weight.
An aiming device for a golf club. The device includes a fixing seat with a long body, and one side of the body is thicker than the other side and the fixing seat has a wedgy shape. A clamping portion with a C-shape in cross view sets beside the long body thereof for clamping on a club or a grip of the golf. There is a connect portion on the other side of the long body. A main body in a long shape has a connect portion at one side thereof and connects with the connect portion of the fixing seat. A laser member pivots on the main body and towards the head. A switch sets on the main body for controlling on and off of the laser member.
An aiming device for a golf putter comprises a holding member, a main body, a locating member, a laser member, a switch, and a power source. The device is detachably fastened with the shaft or grip of the golf putter by the holding member. The main body is fastened pivotally with the holding member in conjunction with the locating member. The laser member is disposed in the main body and is capable of projecting an aiming line on a projection surface. The laser member is provided with power by the power source which is located in the main body. The laser member is turned on or off by the switch.
A laser guided putting aid to enable a golfer to practice and perfect his putting stroke. The laser guided putting aid includes a combination laser and clamp by which the laser is detachably connected to the shaft of the putter without having to make any changes thereto. The laster emits a pattern of light that fans out in a vertical plane so as to cast a vertical reference line against a target that is located at the end of a putting surface. The golfer practices his putting stroke while attempting to maintain the position of the vertical reference line against the target. If the golfer's putting strokes becomes non-linear, the reference line will move off the target to immediately provide the golfer with a visual indication that his stroke is off-line. An alignment device is included so that the laser is connected to the shaft of the putter such that the vertical plane in which the pattern of light is emitted from the laser will lie in perpendicular alignment with each of the putting surface and the striking face of the putting head of the golfer's putter.
A training device for teaching putting mechanics through implementation of a) suggested predetermined backswing and, if desired, follow-through, stroke lengths for a variety of putting distances, and b) adjustments, by formula, for a variety of putting green/slopes by putting distance.
