The paint comprises in combination: pigments in a liquid solution chosen from the group of natural colouring earths; binders chosen from the group of milk, milk casein, egg white, egg yolk, starch paste and potato flour; compounds, mixed with said pigments and binders, chosen from the group of borax, kalinite, calcite, kaolin, slaked lime, mica and talc, sea salt and boron salts; and additives chosen from the group of vegetable oils, citrus-fruit juices, wine vinegar and natural waxes.
A non-toxic paint and methods for making same are disclosed herein, such paint being comprised of a vehicle, a kaolin slurry and a pigment dispersion. Specifically, the vehicle is comprised of casein protein and potassium sorbate. Such paints are non-toxic and have a substantially long wet-shelf life.

The ratios of the components vary depending on whether or not the linseed oil is refined or unrefined, polymerized or un-polymerized, and if polymerized, whether polymerization was naturally induced or un-naturally induced.
