A portable printing device including: a case; a print unit having a print head with a print surface, the print head being switchable between a raised position and a lowered position with respect to the case; and a shutter member that covers the print surface of the print head when the print head is in its raised position. A link mechanism including crossed arms is provided for freely pivotably supporting the print unit with respect to the case.
A capping system for a printhead includes a handheld printjet printing device having a printhead and a cap including a flexible wiper. The cap is structured to be manually placed on the printing device so that the wiper wipes the printhead during placement thereon.
A thin MFP includes a scanning module, a printing module, a paper advance module, a paper switch module and a paper-guiding module all disposed in a casing thereof. Both the scanning module and the printing module are fixed on the same plane. The paper advance module has a first paper advance box and a second paper advance box for guiding paper into the casing, respectively. The paper switch module mates with the paper advance module for selectively guiding paper from the first paper advance box or the second paper advance box. The paper-guiding module mates with the paper switch module for guiding paper from the paper switch module to the scanning module for scanning or to the printing module for printing. Whereby, the size of the thin MFP is reduced by changing the disposition of the scanning module and the printing module and sharing the paper-guiding module.
A handheld camera system comprising: a core chassis; an ink cartridge unit including an ink supply and print head unit, the ink cartridge unit being mounted on the chassis; a roll of print media rotatably mounted between end portions of the chassis, the print head unit being adapted to print on the print media; a platten unit including mounted below the print head unit; image sensor and control circuitry interconnected to the print head unit and adapted to sense an image for printing by the print head unit; an outer casing for enclosing the chassis, ink cartridge unit, the print media, the platten unit and the circuitry. The camera system further comprises a cutting unit adapted to traverse the print media so as to separate the print media into separate images. The cutting unit can be mounted on the platten unit and the platten unit can further include a print head recapping unit for capping the print head when not in use. The camera system can further comprise a series of pinch rollers for decurling the print media.
A portable printer-scanner device (10) includes a print-head arrangement and a scanner head. A pre-printed image (22) can be scanned by passing the device over it. The printer-scanner is movable by a user relative to a page (20) to print an image (22) stored during the scanning operation.
The present invention provides an ink ejection type printhead assembly including a capping device movable between an open position, in which the printhead may deposit ink on the surface, and a closed position, in which the capping blocks the printhead from depositing ink. The capping device is being mounted for rotation about an axis parallel to a first direction, the direction that the printhead ejects ink.
