6883563 - Apparatus and method to monitor the usage of a network system of personal hand sanitizing dispensers

Disclosed are a type of institutional or hospital network system of personal, portable hand cleaning agent dispensers and a method to record and report their specific usage by healthcare workers and patients of the institution or hospital through a dispenser control apparatus having a computer processor memory. In one form, each dispenser has an identifier unique to it and shared with no other dispenser. Each dispenser contains hand cleaning fluid agent in an amount sufficient to provide multiple shots of predetermined amount (or unit dose size) upon pressing a pad on the dispenser to dispense one shot per press. Each worker has an identifier unique to that worker. In one form, dispensers are refillable and are issued from and returned to a control station that refills the dispensers and for each of them, records into a computer, the dispenser by that dispenser's unique identifier, the worker by that worker's unique identifier, and the quantity of hand cleaning fluid used by said dispenser, and reports from the data collected by said computer, who used what dispenser, during what time frame, and how much hand cleaning fluid was used by said worker using said dispenser during said time frame. In other forms, the dispensers have replaceable throw-away, agent-containing cartridges of single or multiple storage compartments, the dispensers being refillable with new cartridges from control and release stations.

6648179 - Self-contained viscous liquid dispenser - Owned by Kimberly-Clark Worldwide, Inc. (Neenah, WI)

A viscous liquid dispenser includes a housing that defines an internal liquid reservoir. A dispensing pump mechanism is disposed in communication with the reservoir and has a delivery end extending from the housing for manual operation by a user. A mounting mechanism is configured as an integral component of the housing and provides the dispenser with the ability to be detachably connected to complimentary mounting structure on a wall surface. The configuration of the dispenser allows for a significantly increased capacity (volume) without a corresponding increase in the weight of the dispenser materials as compared to conventional dispensers.

6729502 - Self-contained viscous liquid dispenser - Owned by Kimberly-Clark Worldwide, Inc. (Neenah, WI)

A self-contained viscous liquid dispenser includes a housing defining an internal liquid reservoir, and an opening defined through a front surface of the housing. An insert member is fitted through the opening, extends into the reservoir, and defines an internal pump chamber having a back end open to the reservoir and a front end open to the outside of the housing. A pump cylinder is slidably disposed and retained in the chamber. The pump cylinder is movable within the pump chamber from a rest position to a pressurizing position to pressurize and dispense liquid within the pump chamber through a delivery channel and out a dispensing orifice in the pump cylinder. The pump cylinder may be a multiple component device.

6516976 - Dosing pump for liquid dispensers - Owned by Kimberly-Clark Worldwide, Inc. (Neenah, WI)

A dispenser for dispensing metered amounts of a viscous liquid includes a liquid reservoir and a pump chamber having an opening in communication with the reservoir. A dispensing orifice is defined in the pump chamber. A pump mechanism is configured with the pump chamber and is movable from a rest to a pressurizing position upon actuation thereof to pressurize liquid within the pump chamber. A check valve mechanism is disposed in the opening. A restriction device is disposed in the dispensing orifice and maintains a closed configuration to prevent leakage of liquid from the dispensing orifice. The restriction device opens upon sufficient liquid pressure build-up within the pump chamber upon actuation of the pump mechanism. The restriction device also may vent the pump chamber upon release of the pump mechanism.

7597122 - Apparatus and method to monitor the usage of a network system of personal hand sanitizing dispensers

A portable dispenser for a hand treatment agent includes a flexible bag containing the treatment agent. A valve assembly is sealed to the bag, and functions to receive a portion of the agent from the bag, and is manually operable to discharge the received portion from an outlet port, and automatically refill with another portion of the agent from the bag. A flexible hanger on the bag facilitates adhesive external attachment to wearing apparel of the dispenser user for easy access, and is foldable onto the bag for adhesive attachment to the bag and concealment of adhesive when the dispenser is temporarily out of use.
