A spreader for spreading treatment products on soil to improve the quality thereof is disclosed. The spreader consists of a vehicle including a frame (103) slidably housing an assembly (105, 106) of a hopper and a metering device. The frame also supports soil shearing means (114) located ahead of the hopper, and mixing means (112) located behind the hopper for mixing together the spread product and the loosened soil. As a result, soil treatment may be enhanced and the nuisance caused by spreading may be diminished.
Paving materials having excellent durability supplied to a front spreading screw 5 is prevented from dropping onto the center band of a road by a bottom plate 30, and by the rotation of the front spreading screw 5 is spread onto the two bands of the road where the left and right tires of cars make contact. In contrast, an ordinary paving materials supplied to rear spreading screw 7 is prevented from dropping onto the bands of the road with which the left and right tires of cars make contact by means of the bottom plates 32, 33 and is spread onto the center band and the outside bands of the road by the rotation of the rear spreading screw 7. Two types of paving materials spread and formed into alternating bands in this way are laid and paved at the same time by the screed 9, and as a result, a pavement with high durability can be constructed at low cost.
An automotive construction machine for working ground surfaces, with a machine frame, a drive engine for driving traveling devices and for driving working devices, and a milling drum for milling the ground surfaces, which can be raised, driven by, and can be uncoupled from a drum drive, the milling drum can be moved into a raised position when not in milling mode, and when raised, the rotating direction of the milling drum corresponds to the rotating direction of the traveling devices and remains coupled with the drive engine, and a monitoring device monitors the distance between the milling drum and the ground surface and uncouples the raised milling drum from the drive engine or uncouples the traveling devices from the drive engine or raises the machine frame or generates an alarm signal when the monitoring device detects a deviation that falls below a pre-determined distance, or any of the latter.
An applicator mechanism for applying a layer of aggregate material on a ground surface comprising an adjustable bracket for mounting the applicator mechanism to a carrying device, a hopper attached to the mounting bracket having a first opening for receiving a supply of aggregate materials said hopper having a second opening for dispensing the aggregate material onto the ground surface, a first shaft attached to the hopper and in communication with the second opening having projections for spreading the aggregate material onto the ground surface through the second opening, a mechanism for driving the first shaft, a second shaft having at least one structure for interacting with the projections in order to control the size or amount of aggregate material exiting the hopper through use of a spring force that adjusts the tension applied to the paddle by way of a handle used to rotate the second shaft, and a mechanism for holding the tension handle in one of several predetermined positions.
