A wristwatch with an illuminated ornamental display system comprising a case. The case has a bottom wall in a circular configuration with an upstanding side wall and with an open top to form a chamber there within. The bottom wall has a periphery for releasably coupling with the remainder of the case. A support plate has a peripheral edge coupled to the interior of the side wall of the case. The support plate includes a small circular opening in the center of a first hemisphere and an enlarged oval opening in the center of a second hemisphere. A timing assembly has a container beneath the small opening with upstanding concentric rods extending through the small opening and with hands coupled to the rods for the indication of time. An illuminatable ornamental display assembly includes a member of a translucent material with a base received within the enlarged opening and a raised surface above the upper surface of the support plate. The display assembly also has a light beneath the member.
A watch with an illuminated display comprises a case. The case has a bottom wall with an upstanding peripheral wall. A divider wall is provided between the walls to form a watch chamber and a display chamber. A timing assembly is provided in the watch chamber. The timing assembly has hands and a face. Also provided is an illuminatable ornamental display. The display may have any of a plurality of designs. The display has a rectangular base. The base is selectively received within the display chamber. A light source is provided beneath the base. Further provided are coupling components. The coupling components selectively position or remove the display. Last provided is a transparent crystal. The crystal is positioned over the upper face of the watch chamber. In this manner the face and hands of the watch are protected.
A timepiece, such as a watch, having a protective cover with a gem set therein. The protective cover may be crystal, plastic or any other transparent and durable material. The protective cover has an aperture having concentric cuts. The setting is seated in the aperture and secured to the protective cover. The setting is configured to be of a similar size and shape as the aperture so that it may be securely affixed to the protective cover. A gasket may be inserted between the setting and the aperture to create a watertight seal in the watch cover. The timepiece may also have a hinged, hidden compartment on the backside of the watch frame. Engravings may be made in the hidden compartment, and small, thin objects may be stored therein.
The invention relates to a watch movement comprising an annular casing (10), having an external diameter D, which is provided with a central round opening (48) that is defined by an internal diameter d. According to the invention, the gear train (34) comprises a mobile (36) consisting of a minute wheel (36a) and a pinion (36b), a cannon pinion (38), which is driven by the minute wheel (36a) and intended to support a minute hand (40), and an hour wheel (42) which is driven by the pinion (36b) and intended to support an hour hand (44). The cannon pinion (38) and the hour casing (10) and are provided with a central opening that is more or less equal to d. The minute wheel (36a) is provided with a diameter that is slightly smaller than (D-d)/2.
A donut shaped soap body has a special effect cartridge which emits sound and light triggered by movement of the soap bar or by wetting of the soap bar. The special effect cartridge has a sealed chamber and light support for backlighting an image and an open acoustic chamber for housing a miniature loudspeaker.
The present invention is directed toward a timepiece, such as a watch, having a protective cover with a gem set therein.
