An adjustable safety pet harness for dogs and cats while traveling in a vehicle and strapped to a vehicle's seat belt. The harness comprises six flexible straps, wherein three straps are affixed to a synthetic lambskin chest pad. Two of the three straps are crossed chest straps and the third strap becomes a lower body strap removably attachable to an upper body strap. The chest straps have buckles for adjustment in length to fit the pet. The chest straps are attached on top to the upper body strap and held parallel by a cross-strap. A median portion of the cross-strap supports a connector strap which has a metal D-ring on an end on the cross-strap and its opposite end fastened to the upper body strap to secure a flexible nylon webbing with a snap hook at its distal end for connection with the D-ring. The connector strap is looped around a safety belt for protection of the pet during a sudden stop or collision.
A small animal harness comprising an elastically deformable chest piece that attaches at its upper portion to a pair of flexible shoulder straps and attaches at its lower portion to a pair of flexible brisket straps, the unattached ends of the shoulder and brisket straps being interconnected over the withers of the animal so that the brisket straps are slidable in the connection and adapted to be connected to a leash for control of the animal.

A top strap is extended across the top of an animal wearing the vest and is looped through a buckle tongue and a webbing adjuster defining top and bottom portions of the top strap. The vest is secured to a seat belt of a vehicle by passing the seat belt between the top and bottom portions of the top strap. The top portion of the top strap can be pulled through the webbing adjuster to shorten the bottom portion to adjust the top strap. In an embodiment, the top strap is rotatably coupled to the vest.
A safety system for a vehicle, having an adjustable headrest with a belt guide. The belt guide realigns the path of travel of a torso belt of a vehicle. The adjustable headrest provides head support to smaller sized passengers while also positioning the torso belt for the smaller sized passenger.
