A connection device allows for mounting a control panel in a manner such that the panel projects from the front lower edge of a control apparatus. According to the invention, optimum adjustment of the control panel relative to the front of the control apparatus is achieved in that the connection devices take the form of angle plates which are assembled from two leg parts and can be set and secured in a plurality of angular positions about an axis aligned parallel with the lower edge of the control apparatus.

This application is a continuation-in-part of co-pending application Ser. No. 08/930,804 filed on Oct. 8, 1997, titled APPARATUS FOR CONNECTING A CONTROL PANEL TO A CONTROL DEVICE, and relating to PCT International Application No. PCT/EP96/02757 having an international filing date of Jun. 5, 1996, and relating to the parent German application filed Jul. 15, 1995. This application also claims priority from PCT International Application No. PCT/EP96/05790 having an international filing date of Dec. 20, 1996 and based upon German application no. 196 03 097.8 filed in Germany on Jan. 29, 1996.
A tool coupling includes a holder and an adapter attachably interconnected by a serrated coupling. A fastening screw extends in both the adapter and the holder and is arranged coaxially with a center axis defined by the adapter and the holder. The screw is threadedly connected with the holder and includes a cooling passage therein for conducting cooling medium from the holder to the adapter for cooling a cutting insert carried by the holder.
A chisel-holder changing system for a road milling machine, a coal cutting machine or the like to which a chisel-holder is fastened in an exchangeable manner by means of a connecting mechanism. The chisel-holder accommodates at least one chisel that can be exchanged. The middle longitudinal axis of the chisel is set at an operating angle of less than 90.degree. with respect to the surface to be worked. In order to be able to obtain varied removal results using such a chisel-holder changing system, the chisel-holder can be fixed in two or more configuring positions to the base part and in different attachment positions of the chisel, the middle longitudinal axis of the chisel is slanted at various working angles.
A coupling apparatus for adjustably mounting modular tooling members having a base member releasably connectable to a slide mount wherein said base member is adjustably located along a predetermined path of travel defined by the slide mount. The base member is rotatably adjustable with respect to a midportion via a pair of matingly engaging contoured surfaces. In a preferred embodiment, the midportion may also be rotatably adjustable with respect to an end member along a second rotational axis. The midportion and the end member may be adjustably rotated through a pair of contoured surfaces substantially similar to that provided between the midportion and the base member. The end member provides an aperture for releasably connecting a boom rod to the end member. In an alternative embodiment, the midportion is integrally connected to the end member wherein the end member provides an aperture for matingly engaging a first spline rod. The first spline rod may be rotatably adjusted about a second rotational axis. A spline bracket may be adjustably connected to the opposite end of the first spline rod while also engaging one end of a second spline rod. The spline bracket provides rotational adjustment of the two spline rods wherein the axes of the spline rods are substantially perpendicular and axially spaced from one another. A workpiece mounting bracket having a base member, midportion, and end member, may then be used to matingly engage and adjustably connect the second spline rod to a workpiece handling device.
A hinge assembly containing a receiver member having a corrugated inner surface and a locking pin for being pivotally disposed within the receiver portion about an axis. The locking pin and receiver member have complementary corrugated engaging surfaces that allow the hinge to provide support for a cantilevered structure when the pin and receiver are engaged. When the complimentary pin and receiver are disengaged, the pin member can be incrementally rotated so as to allow the cantilevered structure to be positioned in a different position or orientation.
