A paver screed has a main screed with two outer side walls, at least one of the side walls being provided with insertion orifices for the releasable mounting of at least one lateral screed extension by means of fastening elements capable of being inserted through the insertion orifices. A screed extension has fastening elements that comprise hydraulic cylinders which each have a piston that is spring-biased into an initial, retracted position. The cylinders are actuated by hydraulic fluid to displace or extend the piston against the biasing action of the spring. Preferably, the hydraulic cylinders are connected a hydraulic circuit of the main screed. The piston of each hydraulic cylinder carries a shank capable of being inserted through a proximal insertion orifice and which are preferably provided with an abutment element configured for attaching the cylinder to the sidewall of the main screed.
The invention relates to a paving screed for a paver, with a basic screed and with at least one lateral extendable screed part which is connected to the basic screed via hydraulically actuable tensioners. The height of the extendable screed part can be adjusted via a height setting device which comprises vertical spindles which are coupled to the extendable screed part and are held on the basic screed rotatably relative to the latter. The spindles are adjustable via a common drive motor, it being possible, as a result of the actuation of the drive motor, to trigger a release of the hydraulically actuable tensioners for the duration of actuation. The extendable screed part is also connected to the basic screed via spring-biased screws.
In combination with a placers/spreader having a frame including at least two side bolsters standing parallel to the subgrade path and at least two cross beams spanning the subgrade path forming a conveyor supporting structure. A rail system is attached spanning the frame, and has a roll in/roll out conveyor with a cantilevered support at one of the side bolsters and a support for attachment to and support from the rail system. The conveyor moves in traversing motion across the frame to distribute concrete. The improvement comprises a strike off beam and spreader plow assembly for trailing attachment to the frame of a placer/spreader. We thus disclose a strike off beam with spreader plow assembly which can be removably attached to either side of a placer/spreader to avoid the necessity of relocating the receiving conveyor when the location of the access road changes from one side to the other or direction of spreading changes. We additionally disclose a method of operation the strike off beam from a placer/spreader to prevent the accumulation of excess concrete the path of the following paver.
The invention relates to a paver for the paving of ground courses for roads or the like, having a chassis and a trailed floating screed which is articulated on the latter via tow arms and of which the angle of attack relative to the ground is capable of being adjusted via actuating cylinders and which comprises a basic screed and extendable screeds and/or attached screed parts, there being arranged between the rear region, as seen in the paving direction, of the chassis and the extendable screeds and/or the attached screed parts of each side at least one hydraulic supporting cylinder which, at the moment of start-up of the paver, is subjected to an adjustable hydraulic pressure.
