A multipurpose container structure with a container body that has sealingly engaged walls, a bottom sealingly engaged with the walls, and a rim that surrounds the open top of the container body. The container body may be generally rectangular with at least one rounded corner and may include a U-shaped bail with an arcuate bend in a handle portion thereof. The rim may have an inner first trough and an outer second trough with each having a plurality of apertures therein. A pour spout may be disposed in one corner of the container body, and the first trough and the plurality of apertures can terminate adjacent to the pour spout. A lid may be provided that has inner and outer crests for engaging the first and second troughs of the rim. A plurality of male projections can extend from the inner and outer crests for engaging and clearing the plurality of apertures of the first and second troughs. An insert in the form of an elongate body with a plurality of male projections disposed thereon may be included for engaging at least the first trough and the plurality of apertures therein. Still further, a stirring paddle with an elongate handle that retains a curved paddle may be included for stirring the contents of the container body.
A food container preferably for heated food, has a lid member and a base member. The base member has complimentary embossed portions in the bottom of the base member to engage a complimentary indented portion in the top surface of the lid member. The retaining mechanism allows containers to be stacked so as to secure each container while allowing steam to escape from the lid of a container. Also, a fluid return system retains fluid in the container and promotes flow of fluid into the bottom of the container.
A single point hinge and a method of thermoforming a plastic container including a single point hinge include a lid, a tray, a single point hinge connecting the lid and the tray. The single point hinge includes an angle formed by a lid chamfer and a tray chamfer. The single point hinge further includes a lid well adjacent to the lid chamfer and a tray well adjacent to the tray chamfer, and the lid connects to the lid well and the tray connects to the tray well.

An insert for a container includes an outer wall, a upstanding spout, and a bottom wall. The outer wall is configured to fit within an opening of the container and defines the periphery of the insert. The outer wall has a lower edge and an upper edge that is disposed at a first elevation. The upstanding spout is located within the outer wall and includes at least one substantially straight portion. The straight portion has a lower edge as well as a substantially straight upper edge that is disposed at a second elevation less than the first elevation. The bottom wall connects the lower edge of the outer wall and the lower edge of the spout to form a channel between the outer wall and the spout.
A system for containing paint is disclosed. The system comprises a body between a cover and a base. The system also comprises a handle configured for attachment to the body and selectively configurable between a first position and a second position. The system also comprises a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism comprises a protrusion configured for insertion into a recess of the body. The locking mechanism also comprises a tab of the handle configured for selective insertion into a track of the body. The locking mechanism is configured to inhibit movement of the handle in at least two planes when the handle is in the first position. A method of using a container for paint is also disclosed. A system for containing paint comprising means for locking the handle to the body is also disclosed.
