Abstract
This invention relates to a new and useful improvement of an earlier scheme patented by this inventor (Canadian Patent No. 1,245,992, issued Dec. 6, 1988) for generating electricity using gravitational energy. The improved scheme uses a set of massive underground spinning wheels, wherein each wheel is geared to a large driving wheel requiring a lower input torque, which wheel is then fitted with a mechanism to receive and transmit gravitational torque pulses from a passing vehicle to keep the wheels in motion. The above transmission mechanism consists of a stepping board, a cylindrical rod and a movable striking head with a toothed jaw attached to the lower end of the cylindrical rod by a hinge fitted with a torsional spring. The upper end of the cylindrical rod which protrudes above the ground surface is rigidly connected to the moving end of the stepping board and both are kept in their initial upward position by means of a "recocking" compression spring. Also, the upper jaw of the striking head which initially remains closed and attached with the cylindrical rod due to the spring pressure, is designed to rest on a set of matching teeth. The electricity is generated by using each spinning wheel in combination with an appropriate gear system to act as the prime mover of an alternator.

6494144 - Energy transfer assembly

An improved, energy transfer assembly utilizing the available mechanical or kinetic energy of a moving vehicle, such as a train, for conversion into usable electric power. The assembly includes a plurality of pairs of impact members operatively positioned along a generally circular, substantially closed loop railway track system. Each pair of impact members is movably interconnected to a corresponding lever assembly, which is subsequently movably interconnected to a gear assembly by one of a plurality of drive arms. Each drive arm is structured to cause the rotation of a primary auxiliary gear when the corresponding pair of impact plates are contacted by the flanges on the wheels of the train. The primary auxiliary gear is interconnected to a transfer drive gear, through the plurality of gears in the gear assembly, such that rotation of the primary auxiliary gear results in rotation of the transfer drive gear, which is interconnected to a rotational component in a power generator, thereby producing usable electric power.

6764275 - Fluid displacement rotational assembly

A fluid displacement rotational assembly includes a frame, a support structure supporting the frame for rotating an axle connected to the frame, chamber members coupled to the frame and each chamber member being arranged diametrically opposed by an associated one of the plurality of chamber members to form a plurality of diametrically opposed chamber member pairs, a plurality of conduits coupled to extend between the chamber members of the diametrically opposed chamber member pairs such that the chamber members of each diametrically opposed chamber member pair are in environmental communication with each other, a plurality of pistons slidably mounted in the chamber members such that the pistons in each diametrically opposed chamber member pair form a fluid chamber between each piston of the diametrically opposed chamber member pair and extending through the conduit of the diametrically opposed chamber member pair, and a fluid positioned in each fluid chamber.

7067932 - System for generating electricity by using gravitational mass and/or momentum of moving vehicle

A mechano-electrical energy generation system generates electrical energy from the passage of a vehicle over an inclined ramp assembly. This assembly includes an incline ramp that is rotatable about an axis proximate a vehicle roadway surface, and a safety decline ramp hinged with and rotatable with the incline ramp. The incline ramp is coupled via a roller assembly to a gravity wheel that drives a flywheel coupled to an electrical generator. As a result, passage of the vehicle over the incline ramp rotates the wheel via the roller assembly and drives the flywheel so that the electrical generator outputs electrical energy. When the vehicle exits the safety decline ramp, a counterweight rotates the wheel in a reverse direction, so as to bring the incline ramp and safety decline ramp to back to their original inclined positions above the roadway surface.

6969213 - Roadway for decelerating and/or accelerating a vehicle including an aircraft - Owned by Omnitek Partners, LLC (Bay Shore, NY)

A roadway upon which a vehicle travels is provided in which the vehicle is decelerated. The roadway includes: a movable surface extending in a direction of the vehicle's travel; and a potential energy storage mechanism operatively connected to the movable surface for converting a kinetic energy of the vehicle into potential energy upon movement of the movable surface thereby slowing the vehicle. Also provided is a roadway upon which a wheeled vehicle travels in which the vehicle is accelerated. The roadway includes: a movable surface extending in a direction of the vehicle's travel; and a potential energy transfer mechanism operatively connected to the movable surface for transferring a stored potential energy associated with the movable surface into kinetic energy upon movement of the movable surface thereby propelling the vehicle.

6767161 - Highway electric power generator

A system embedded in a road surface generates power from the passage of motor vehicles. It activates only when vehicles with axles overpass it in the prescribed direction. The power generating device includes a grill and actuating arms, actuating buttons, and a vehicle sensing device for ensuring the system does not activate when motorcycles pass over it. The actuating arms are connected to shafts and gears for transferring vehicular movement into rotational energy to a turbine placed at the side of the road. A speed brake, flywheel and transmission regulate the rotation speed of the generator motor for optimal production of electricity.
