A new crystalline form of 4-[5-(4-Methylphenyl)-3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl]benzenesulfonami de of Formula I ##STR1## designated as Form I and a method for its production.
Provided are processes for the preparation of the compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, nitro, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, carboxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 trihaloalkyl, and cyano; and R.sup.2 is amino or lower alkyl. Also provided are synthetic intermediates that are useful as intermediates in the preparation of the compound of the formula 1.
