A spraying system having a plurality of spray nozzle assemblies mounted on a common liquid supply header. The spray nozzle assemblies each include a nozzle body fixed to the header and a spray tip secured to the body as an incident to rotation of the spray tip relative to the body. Each spray tip has an elongated discharge orifice adapted for emitting a flat spray pattern and is formed with radial gripping wings in aligned relation to the elongated discharge orifice which enable the user to know the orientation of the discharge orifice, and hence the orientation of the flat discharging spray pattern, prior to start up of a spray operation. The nozzle bodies further each are formed with at least one pair of indicator nibs, which when disposed in longitudinal alignment with the liquid supply header, automatically establishes an orientation of the spray tip elongated discharge orifice at a predetermined relative small angle to the axis of the header so as to avoid impingement of the discharging flat spray patterns of adjacent nozzle assemblies. An alternative embodiment of a spray tip has a slightly modified locking lug design for effecting mounting of the spray tip in the common body with the discharge orifice aligned with the axis of the fluid supply header. Further alternative embodiments include a spray nozzle with a swivel mounted adapter and quick disconnect spray tip, or with an adapter having a screw-in orifice defining insert for the particular spray application.
A fan jet nozzle for use with an ultra high pressure liquid-phase cleaning media for use in a deflashing apparatus includes a nozzle tip, which is made of a super hard material such as diamond, and is secured inside a nozzle holder through sintering. Upper and lower nozzle bores above and beneath the nozzle tip are processed to converge and communicate with each other inside the nozzle tip, resulting in a center nozzle hole having an elliptical shape. One of the upper and lower nozzle bores is processed into a circular cone shape, and the other one of the upper and lower nozzle bores is processed to have an arched longitudinal sectional shape and a cross sectional shape wherein its width increases toward a center thereof and decreases toward both sides thereof.
A handheld spraying device having a quick disconnect assembly for releasably securing a spray body having a valve mechanism therein to a water line. The device includes a nozzle assembly affixed to a water line that includes a pair of opposed projecting wing portions that are spring biased into a pair of opposed seats formed in the spray body. An elongated opening transversely aligned with the seats is provided in the spray body for the passage of the nozzle assembly therethrough upon the wing portions thereof being aligned with the opening. Upon urging the nozzle assembly inwardly within the spray body against an interior spring so as to raise the wing portions off the seats and rotating the line and affixed nozzle assembly approximately 90.degree. with respect to the spray body, the line and nozzle assembly can be withdrawn, disconnecting the spray body from the line.
A hose lock apparatus for a vacuum clean that provides easy attachment and detachment of a hose to and from an air inlet of the vacuum cleaner body, is disclosed. The hose lock apparatus includes a hose clamp in a form of a hollow cylinder and engaged with an end of the hose therein. The hose clamp further includes a locking protrusion along an outer circumference. The hose lock apparatus includes an air inlet portion which is configured at the vacuum-cleaner body to receive an end of the hose clamp. The air inlet portion includes an insertion hole for guiding the locking protrusion towards an inserting direction, and a seating groove connected to the insertion hole to receive the locking protrusion when the hose clamp is rotated by a predetermined number of degrees. When the hose clamp is attached to the air inlet, a cleaning work with the hose is enabled.
A spraying system is provided including a spray gun and a spray nozzle. The spray gun has a discharge end. A locating pin is arranged on the discharge end of the spray gun. The spray nozzle is selectively mountable on the discharge end of the spray gun. The spray nozzle has a discharge orifice configured to produce a asymmetrically distributed fluid discharge pattern wherein the location of maximum fluid discharge is offset from the center of the fluid discharge pattern. The spray nozzle has an alignment notch extending along an outer surface of the spray nozzle. The locating pin is arranged on the spray gun and the alignment notch is arranged on the spray nozzle such that when the spray nozzle is mounted on the discharge end of the spray gun in a predetermined orientation the locating pin extends into the alignment slot.
A pressurized fluid delivery apparatus, such as a pressure washer or sprayer, includes a pump for providing a pressurized fluid, a conduit fluidly connected with the pump to receive the pressurized fluid, a fluid accessory fluidly connected with the conduit to receive the pressurized fluid from the conduit, and a quick-disconnect assembly selectively fluidly connecting the fluid accessory and the conduit. The quick-disconnect assembly includes a male fitting coupled to one of the fluid accessory and the conduit. The male fitting includes a male component and a non-circular outer surface. The quick-disconnect assembly also includes a female fitting coupled to the other of the fluid accessory and the conduit. The female fitting includes a female component having an opening for receiving the male component and a non-circular inner surface coupled to the non-circular outer surface to prevent rotation between the male fitting and the female fitting.
